shepherd's hut in Doddington
Description
Get away from it all at the Lower Slade shepherd hut - perfect for a digital detox! Set in a secluded field surrounded by high hedges and trees, the two huts provide separate sleeping and living areas, offering peace and tranquility at the top of the beautiful North Downs. They are central for the medieval market town of Faversham, the historic city of Canterbury, Maidstone and Ashford. Ideal for walkers (footpath maps provided) and cyclists. The space The rental is for both huts. The hut with the veranda contains a sitting room, dining room and kitchen with a table, good sized fridge, sink, microwave and air fryer, and is well equipped for two people. The second hut comprises the bedroom with a double bed and shower area which is separated from the bedroom by a partition/curtain and contains a walk-in shower, basin and composting loo. The two separate huts provide a good level of accommodation and both are heated electrically. Outside, there is a table with four chairs between the huts, a BBQ and a fire pit. The huts are located in a secluded, old cherry orchard of about half an acre, accessed via the front garden to the house, with off-lane parking. The orchard is secure for a reasonable sized dog; we have a friendly black Labrador. Jane and I will be on hand to help provide you with a comfortable and enjoyable stay and look forward to seeing you should you decide to come. Please be assured that CCTV is turned off and the cameras are covered at all times when the huts are occupied. Guest access The location offers off-lane parking. A short walk through the front garden into the orchard where the huts are located.
