A home away from home, in the grounds of our family holiday home, the house is just 300m away from the entrance of Tollymore Forest Park. Unwind in the hot tub soaking in the dramatic view of the Mourne Mountains. Inside, relax in front of a cosy wood burning stove. Lively Newcastle town, with its many shops, cafes, bars and restaurants is less than 5 minutes drive away. Other attractions close by are Murlough Beach, Castlewellan forest Park & many walking, hiking & cycling trails. The space Entrance Hall / Utility Room: The entrance to the house leads to a practical laundry/boot room, providing a convenient space to store your outdoor gear and keep everything organized. A car parking space is directly outside making unpacking simple. Bike racks are provided outside. Please bring your own bike locks. Hose & outside tap are available. Kitchen & Dining; Relax in the spacious open-plan Scandinavian-inspired kitchen, featuring a dining table seating six and a convenient island unit with bar stools. Whether you're preparing a home-cooked meal or savoring takeout from local restaurants, this space is designed for culinary enjoyment. Relaxing; After a day of exploring, retreat to our cozy indoor sofa area, where a welcoming wood-burning stove awaits. Curl up with a good book or unwind with a drink or cuppa in front of the TV. Wi Fi is included. Sleeping; Restful slumber awaits in our comfortable bedrooms. Choose from the spacious master bedroom with king size bed & lovely mountain views, a twin bedded room (which can be converted to a double) or a double sofa bed downstairs. Please note access to the Master bedroom is via a corridor which is separated from the twin room by a wooden slatted wall and curtain. A travel cot is available on request. Shower room Ground floor shower room complete with complimentary shampoo, shower gel and hand gel. Private Garden: Decking is easily accessible from the living area. Comfortable garden furniture and a gas BBQ are available for guest use. Enjoy the spacious garden, with mountain views. The garden is fenced as best we can, and we do let our own dogs run about. However, as every dog is different, we recommend that owners keep an eye on their dogs and assess the space based on their pet's behavior. Please note that dogs remain the owner’s responsibility during their stay. Hot Tub; Soothe your muscles and unwind in the outdoor hot tub. Immerse yourself in the soothing warmth while enjoying wonderful views of the surrounding landscape. Guest access Guests can use the large garden to the side of the house. We respectfully ask that guests do not enter the gate accessing the rear of the main property. Other things to note The BBQ is available on request prior to your stay to allow us time to get this out and a new gas cannister.
