An atmospheric and cozy log cabin in Kittilä's Alakylä, in a quiet area where the light pollution does not interfere with viewing the northern lights and the starry sky. Here you can enjoy peace and quiet on the shores of the beautiful and fish-filled Ounasjoki River. The cottage was built in 1989 and is almost in its original condition, so here you can experience the authentic atmosphere of Lapland. The cottage has sleeping places for 3-4 people, a kitchen, a living room and a sauna. The space The cottage has an open space with a kitchen and a living room with a fireplace and two sofas. Toilet, laundry room, and sauna opposite the front door. On the small floor, a double bed and a single bed. Upstairs, a small balcony. Close to the fish-rich Ounasjoki river, e.g. Neitikoski where it is good to fish, for example, from the ridge. You can order custom fishing trips from the home in both summer and winter! There are also great berry and mushroom picking spots nearby. Surrounded by beautiful and easy to walk pine fabric forest. It is also possible to rent a boat from the property. Barbecue hut in the yard. On the beach, there is a wood-fired sauna, for which we charge 30 euros in summer and 70 euros in winter (includes firewood, washing water and detergents, towels and peflets). In the summer, after the sauna, you can take a dip in the Ounasjoki River. If needed, laundry can be done in an adjacent house for a small expense fee. On the property it is possible to access a snowmobile ride, snowshoes are also available for rent. Ask the host for more activities! Guest access The cottage is entirely available to guests. There is a barbecue hut in the yard, ask us for firewood, the price is 10 euros/wood box. There is a wood-fired sauna on the beach, which we charge 70 euros to heat during the winter season and 30 euros in the summer. The hosts live in the same yard. Other things to note There are dogs living in the yard.
