Description
Welcome to the Cantate apartment, located in the heart of the Orgues des Flandres in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. Typical from the 1970s, it was completely renovated by an architecture studio, with a desire to use raw materials. You'll especially appreciate the use of concrete, wood, and the magical light of sunny mornings. 5 minutes from the Riquet metro station, you can access all the tourist attractions of Paris in a few minutes! The space The apartment was recently renovated by the Augure Studio architecture workshop. The structure of the concrete building, typical of the 70s, was revealed on a few walls and the ceilings of the entire apartment. The furniture is largely chosen and marinated like the modern interiors of the mid-20th century, and coupled with a few contemporary rooms. WHO ARE WE? We are Marine and Thibault, a couple of graphic designers and photographers. We travel very regularly in a private room with a local, and we love this way of traveling as it is the best way to meet people. It's our turn to be guests! Here, we welcome you like at home, and we will do everything to make your stay in Paris the best possible. ABOUT KUZCO, OUR LITTLE DOG We live in the apartment with our little dog (a Norwich Terrier). He is absolutely adorable, very sociable and affectionate. He will be sure to come and say hello as you should be. So if you're not a dog lover, this is clearly not the best idea to stay here. If you love dogs, you will be the happiest in the world! The BEDROOM The size of the apartment is 63 m². This one is composed of a large living room with open kitchen, and two bedrooms. The first is ours, and the second is dedicated to you. It has a 140 x 190 cm bed, shelves, as well as a small bright desk by a window overlooking a park and the Orgues of Flanders in the background. Blackout curtains have been installed to allow you to sleep in complete darkness. The kitchen and the shower room are shared. The NEIGHBORHOOD The apartment is located in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, close to the Riquet metro (line 7). You are 20 minutes by metro from the Louvre and the Opéra Garnier. Near the apartment you have the Centrequatre cultural space, the Cité des Sciences et de l 'Industrie, the Canal de l' Ourcq and the large Parc de la Villette, and the sublime Parc des Buttes Chaumont. The Riquet/Crimea neighborhood is in the middle of a revival. It is a popular area, clearly not the most glamorous in Paris, but quite central. The metro takes you everywhere in Paris very quickly. And in 10 minutes' walk, we find ourselves on the edge of the very pleasant Canal de l 'Ourq (it's also the favorite walk of our dog Kuzco (and his masters too:) ). The Cantate Tower, where the apartment is located, is currently at the end of renovation work. You will not be bothered by the noise, but the scaffolding, waste from the work and the equipment of the workers are part of the decor until normally the end of the year 2023. DOGS (WELL-BEHAVED) WELCOME Living with a dog in the house, we obviously accept that you come with yours. We just ask that he/she is well behaved. sociable and clean. No cats or other animals on the other hand (for reasons of good understanding, otherwise it would have been my pleasure!). Guest access You will have access to the shower room, kitchen, and living room. During your stay We live in the apartment and will be there in the morning, noon and evening, and sometimes during the day. You can contact us via Airbnb messaging if needed, and we're still not far away if needed! Other things to note We have a small dog, Kuzco. It's a Norwich Terrier. He's very sociable. He'll be sure to come say hello. If you're not a dog lover, this is clearly not the best idea to come and stay in our apartment.
