West of the Moon - Private Pool

Southern Living inspired, one-of-a-kind home, which is estimated to be completed in late 2024. West of the Moon backs onto a small lake, and the pool overlooks this lake and spectacular sunsets. We’re located in Marina Village East, the resort community on the northern edge of Cape Charles’s historic district. You’re just steps away from The Oyster Farm restaurant and Kings Creek Marina & C-Pier—and just a golf cart ride to a private beach and all that Cape Charles has to offer! The space You will have full use of the two-story main house, which includes the following on the first floor: an open plan living / dining room, chef-grade kitchen, butler's pantry/ "back kitchen," music room, powder room, and expansive screen porch. The screen porch overlooks a 9' x 20' private pool, which itself looks out onto a small lake. Given the way the home is oriented, the screen porch and pool are great places to enjoy the sun setting over Cape Charles. The second floor includes a sitting area with a large TV, wardrobes, and a sofa bed from Room & Board (thus, a very comfortable sleep!). This room serves as the 3rd sleeping area. Although it's not private, there is a door that separates this room from the hallway that leads to the two ensuite bedrooms. Also, we have two antique, 3-panel wooden screens that you can position to create privacy. The two bedrooms are at the back and look out onto a porch that spans the full width of the house. You access this porch from the hallway that separates the two bedrooms. From that porch, you have amazing views out over the pool, small lake, and Cape Charles's iconic sunsets. Also on this floor are a library nook and laundry room with full-sized washer / dryer and ample storage. Important points to note: * We live in an owners' residence over the garage. It has a separate entrance, and we always respect our guests' privacy--whether you're enjoying the main house or our backyard oasis. * We do not allow pets. * We do not allow smoking anywhere on our property, including any and all outdoor spaces (i.e., porches, balconies, yard, pool, etc.). * We do not allow parties. Only individuals who are included in your reservation of up to 6 guests are allowed on our property. * Marina Village East is part of Bay Creek, and no parking is allowed on any streets in Bay Creek. Our driveway can accommodate no more than 3 vehicles, and we cannot accommodate any trailers (for boats, campers, etc.). * We have a sister property, East of the Sun, in the Historic District, in case you need more space for your family and friends: airbnb.com/h/eastofthesuncapecharles Guest access As already noted, you will have full and private access to the main house (but not to the garage nor the owners' residence above it) and to the backyard, which features a private 9' x 20' pool, lounging area, and garden.
