Lakefront 2BR cottage w/ hot tub

Welcome to Lake Charlotte Retreat, only 40 mins from Dartmouth, where tranquility meets adventure! Nestled lakeside, our property offers not only a cozy getaway but also kayaks and direct access to Lake Charlotte's ATV trails. The cozy interior with lake views features tasteful furnishings and decor, creating a homey ambiance that invites you to unwind. On the deck you'll find a luxurious hot tub, beckoning you to indulge in a soothing soak while you take in the sun setting over the lake. The space The centerpiece of this cottage is the living room. Take in the beautiful lake views, wrap yourself up in a blanket and snuggle up on the couch and feel the warmth of the stove. This is a great place to relax, unwind and unplug. Have a soak in the 4 person hot tub on the deck! Enjoy a morning coffee and a beautiful sunrise from the coziness of the cottage, on the deck or way out on the dock. (Dock is seasonal.) What sets this Airbnb apart is its direct access to the Lake Charlotte ATV trails. Adventure seekers can rev up their engines and embark on thrilling rides through diverse terrains, from wooded trails to scenic lakeside paths. The convenience of trail access from the property ensures that every day brings a new opportunity for exploration and excitement. If you're lucky enough to have a clear night sky, take the time to enjoy the stars while lounging in the hot tub. It's amazing how bright the night sky is when you leave the city. The 2 bedrooms are very cozy! (small), there is plenty of room to hang some clothes and store any luggage you may have. No closets 5 hangers in each room. The water is drinkable! We have a state of the art water filtration system installed by Culligan water and get the water tested frequently to confirm its high quality. If there are any concerns or questions please contact the host. Rainy day? No problem! Enjoy quality time with loved ones and make use of the board games provided. Did you forget your book? Not to worry, help yourself to our collection of books, hopefully you find something you like. Please do not take them home. There is a TV with access to Netflix, and Amazon Prime. We do not have access to any sports packages or cable/satellite TV. Guest access Entire property including private dock and hot tub. Garage is off limits to guests. Please keep within the fenced areas of the yard. There is a pebble beach to the right (when looking at the lake from the cottage). During the winter months winter tires are a must. If you're not confident in your vehicles ability to go down/up the driveway please consider parking at the top of the driveway and walking down. The main entrance is a smart lock, if your having difficulty with the lock please contact us. Webbers camp ground has a Laundromat available for use to the public. Washer is $1.50 and dryer is $1.50. This is located at the end of Upper Lakeville rd. Other things to note Dock is in the water from late spring to mid fall. It is weather dependent when the dock comes in or out, please contact the host regarding these times. (Dock is now in for the season!) Stairs going from the retaining wall are installed when the lake level is low enough and removed in the early fall when the water level comes back up. The back deck is approximately 20m(65') from the road. There is a large hill and trees between the cottage and the road so its hard to see or hear the road from the cottage. The driveway is fairly steep and gravel. I am able to back out of it with no issues in a 2 wheel drive car even in the winter. If you have any concerns about this please contact the host and we can figure something out and I can provide you with more pictures. Winter tires are a must to go up and down the driveway in the winter months. Pets should be kept on leash as its possible for them to access the road from the back yard. Pet fee is $40. Shed is off limits to guests. Some lawn equipment and various bits and bobs are kept in here. Nothing interesting! TV inside includes use of Netflix, & Amazon Prime. We do not provide any sports packages and do not have cable or satellite TV. We will not be able to provide you with sports packages to watch the game. Wood stove has been replaced with an electric stove, pictured will be updated in the summer. Hot tub is bromine. If filling hot tub you must bypass the water treatment system. If filling is needed please contact hosts. We do keep some go to chemicals on the hot water heater, half a cap of “Hyperactive” shock is recommended when you are finished with the tub for the day. This helps keep the water clear. Bonfire Guidelines – Please Read Before enjoying a bonfire during your stay, please check the Nova Scotia burn restrictions for the day. Burn bans are common and can change daily based on weather and fire risk. You can find up-to-date information on the Nova Scotia Burn Safe website.
