We have SOLAR backup! This home is located just seconds from the main road, but you will feel like you are miles away! The space The house will be found near the end of a long-wooded road which opens up to beautiful stone walls and the house on the hill. Enjoy the peaceful views from the oversized 40’ deck complete with a fleet of cozy rocking chairs and seating for everyone. You’ll enjoy the sound of the running brook which empties into the pond below. Venture down toward the pond and perhaps roast some marshmallows over the giant firepit which sits alongside the pond - or maybe hunt for a few frogs! Do you like to cook and entertain? Doesn’t everyone seem to huddle in the kitchen? This open concept kitchen has seating for everyone and a 14-foot island with a center stove and oven so you can chat with everyone while you cook in this fully equipped kitchen! Heading out for a day of hiking, skiing or antique shopping? Why not leave something delicious cooking in the crockpots provided – easy and so good! Or simply order out from one of the great nearby restaurants – we won’t judge! Hate cold floors in the winter – then you will love the warm RADIANT HEATED floors throughout the home..yes in the bathrooms too! AND prefer your room cold at night but others like it warm? No problem! This house has 4 heat zones – one for each of the (3) levels and (1) just for one of the (4) bedrooms. And in the summer months – each bedroom has its own A/C unit so everyone has what they want! And if by chance crazy weather should knock out the power – don’t worry! We have SOLAR POWER which kicks in automatically.. you will always be cozy! The main entrance to the home requires one step up onto the deck and you will enter the home through two French doors. This is the middle level of the home, which is an open concept kitchen, dining, living room with a charming corner ‘electric’ fireplace at the far end with stone accents reaching up to the cathedral ceiling. (1) queen bedroom, (1) full bedroom, and a full bath are also located on this level. You also access the main deck from this level. From the main middle level you will have to climb a standard staircase to the upper level to an open loft complete with (2) adult size twin beds and charming sitting area with views in every direction..perfect for morning coffee. A queen bedroom with skylights above and adjoining full bath and OVERSIZED tub are also located on this level. And you will absolutely love the view through the bedside double glass doors and the adjoining deck. From the middle level, to access the lower level of the home, you must use another standard staircase. The lower level can also be accessed from the lawn but requires one step up. The large family room equipped with 60” TV and ping pong table, boardgames, as well as the laundry room, and another full bathroom are located on this level. There is also (1) queen bedroom located off the family room which has an ‘adjustable mattress’ which you can raise the ‘head’ of the bed! Custom comfort! A set of ‘adult size’ bunk beds are located in the family room area as well. If we can do anything to make your stay more comfortable - please let us know! Guest access Guests have full use of the main house to include the main and upper deck, grounds, pond and firepit. No access to the exterior buildings. Use or unloading of dirt bikes or ATVs on property is STRICTLY prohibited and will result in immediate termination of reservation without refund. Trailers pulling these are VERY welcome and there is plenty of parking and room to maneuver. Please note we are located in New Hampshire which can be snowy and icy. BE AWARE during winter months driveways and walkways will most likely become snow covered and slippery. Ice melt and shovels are readily available. Clearing of snow is done prior to your arrival and we will do our best to clear any large storms during your stay as quickly as possible. By reserving you and your party acknowledge the risk of these slippery conditions and will practice caution and utilize ice melt when visiting. Please DO NOT use ice melt on wooden decks. Uncovered Decks are not maintained for guest use during winter months and will be snowy and icy. Other things to note Our house is your house. Use whatever you like, just please enjoy responsibly as this is our residence. Thanks for your cooperation. Also when we are home we do have a dog. Although he is not allowed on the furniture or the beds, there is always a deep cleaning completed before guests arrive – if you are extremely allergic, this may not be the home for you.
