Description
Set at the foot of the South Downs national park this tiny but perfectly formed annex is an ideal base for walking and cycling. Explore the quiet country lanes or walk the South Downs way. After an energetic day sit on the patio and watch the sun set. Or relax around the wood burner. In addition historic Ditchling with it’s gastro pubs and museum is a short walk. Alternatively there is Lewes to explore, an easy drive away or vibrant Brighton with its variety of amenities and attractions. The space Beacon View is set on one level in its own private garden. It is accessed by a paved path which passes the main house. The space comprises of a limestone tiled living area with two armchairs and a fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen has a hob, oven, microwave and an instant hot water tap. There is a breakfast bar with stools for dining. There is a log burner for cosy evenings in colder months, wood is provided as part of the rental. Patio doors allow light and sweeping views to the South Downs over fields. The toilet is off the living area with its own sink. There is a separate bedroom with double bed, space to hang clothes and views of the hills and a paddock. The shower room is off the bedroom with a new efficient electric shower. Guest access Beacon View is self contained. Guests will have access to their own garden and patio which is fully fenced with its own gate. There is also an ancient wood which is accessible and leads to bridleways and Ditchling village. It is especially beautiful in spring when it is filled with bluebells. One dog is welcome. Other things to note The house where Beacon View annex can be found is accessed by a private lane. You will be able to locate it as there is a life sized painted cow at the entrance. There will be a lock box for self check in. If you wish to have your bikes locked up that can be arranged. We have two friendly dogs so let us know if you would like us to keep them inside when you arrive. There are also horses in the paddocks.
