Reef View House Fiji absolute beachfront holiday home in private 3,000 sq. m (32,000 sq ft) garden. Stunning views. SUP, snorkel, swim surf, reef walk, fish right outside your own front door. 5 SUPs 5 surf boards 5 bicycles table tennis and fussball (table football) badminton pickleball included at the house. 5* Outrigger Hotel and other local bars & restaurants are all within easy walking distance along the beach front. 24 hr Manager. Babysitting. High chair. Outdoor and sport lovers dream. The space Reef View House Fiji is a holiday home. It’s has been owned by the same family for generations and is their ‘sporting holiday haven’ for all water sports running and cycling. The open kitchen, large dining area (2.8m table with seating for 12), and living rooms with multiple sofas all face out across the lawn and the ocean to the reef. There is a ‘maniaba’ or outside deck/ terrace area with sofa, comfy chairs and 3 sun loungers. The whole house has the ocean breeze. No air conditioning is fitted but being beachfront and having efficient ceiling fans it’s wonderful, but if you’re not used to it, it can be hot in summer (Dec- Feb). The bedrooms are comfortable and functional. Total 3 bedrooms: 2 bedrooms with double beds (one is en-suite), and a third bedroom with 3 single beds. On the sports front we have 5 SUPs (including 2 new added in 2025 with carbon paddles), 5 surf boards, 5 bicycles (including mountain bikes, 1 “Norco” 2022 full suspension and one 2024 “Trek” hard tail), a Cornilleau outdoor table tennis table and a professional standard Garlando table football table. There is a badminton net racquets and shuttlecocks, as well as pickleball net bats and balls. Board games including: backgammon, chess, monopoly, Azul are all at the house. Cards including Monopoly deal and Nimmt 6 (which if you’ve never played you’ll love) in the games cupboard. There are drawing materials for children (or adults). In the gardens there is a gas BBQ and separate to that a second wood fired BBQ and a gas BBQ . There are a couple of hammocks and a Fijian ‘chair in the air’ hanging chair- for well, hanging around. Basically the house is set up to maximise our /your holiday time and make the most being in one of the world's most wonderful countries with kind and charming people. We also have one child’s high chair and a baby travel cot (now 2025) available at the house. Guest access Reef View House Fiji is a steel reinforced concrete house built on stilts all on one elevated level for the views and the ocean breeze. It’s about 2,800 sq ft (260 sq m) with kitchen , dining, living areas outside deck and bedrooms all on this one level. Underneath the house there is a small totally separate and self contained unit housing the on-site manager (Ali) and his wife (Rozmeen). They have cared for our holiday home for over 30 years. Ali will help arrange everything that you may require; and he is a throughly nice and totally reliable guy. Laundry, daily cleaning, breakfast are all included in your rental. Baby sitting arranged by request - cost not included in your rental. Wish to eat in but not cook? Good curry dinner prepared by Rozmeen and Ali may be available on request at least 24 hours in advance - cost not included in your rental. . Ali (the on site manager) is an excellent fisherman with great local knowledge of the reefs and best places to fish or see certain reef fish, turtles and sometimes dolphins that come in through the gap in the reef by Korotogo village (take a SUP and paddle west about 1km) to see them and if you're lucky have a swim -dawn is the best time when the tides are right.. Above all, “Fiji time” - that really is thing! Relax have fun enjoy. Other things to note If you love the outdoors and love the ocean and sport you’ll love this place. Run, walk, cycle. Paddle board (SUP), swim, snorkel outside your temporary home. Dive nearby on the reef or shark dive. Fish; or go fishing at dawn to witness the world wake up and come alive. If you're lucky you may see the dolphins come in to feed by taking a SUP at dawn to the gap in the reef if the tides are right. You'll certainly see the odd sting ray, baby sharks, turtles as you paddle around. World class surf spots up and down the coast. Alternatively or in addition you could just swing in the hammock, put some fish on the BBQ, and if you have to, but only if you have to, then send a few emails to the office. This is a proper home, an ocean front tropical beach house set in beautiful grounds that has such very happy memories for us as an extended family and we gather there from (now sadly) all over the world whenever we can, to celebrate life and remind ourselves what a wonderful world it can be. Sigatoka the local town (6 kms away) is great fun - good market selling all vegetables and fruit in season from the rich and fertile Sigatoka valley, fresh water mussels from the Sigatoka River. Always kind and friendly Fijians, take one of our house bikes and cycle into town or ride the local bus - no windows, great music and always someone nice to chat to. Sigatoka is also known in Fiji as "Rugby Town" there is the annual international rugby 7s tournament in Sigatoka, the Coral Coast 7s which takes place in January each year and something I would highly recommend, international sides come to hone thier 7s skills against regional Fijian sides ahead of international tournaments. Just sit on the deck reading or lie in the gardens, swing gently in the hammock or hanging chair. Pick some fruit - depending on what's ripe. But then…go surfing - outside on a reef not on the internet (even though we have workable half decent wi fi). Please note: no air conditioning is installed at Reef View House. It’s ocean front so the breeze comes in - but be aware it can be hot in the summer which is Nov - Feb; this is the southern hemisphere. We have good ceiling fans everywhere throughout the house but if you crave a/c then perhaps overlook this house. This is a wonderful place - as a family we have loved and continue to love it whenever we can gather there. We hope that if you do stay you enjoy it and love it as much as we do.
