Family house of the 18th century of about 400 m2 combining old world charm (stone fireplaces, parquet floors, tiles, woodwork, ceiling height...) and comfort (fully equipped kitchen, swimming pool, sauna...). Louis's home is located close to the Abbey of Saint-Savin (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and shops (bakeries, restaurants, tobacco, supermarket...). Great for a stay with family, friends or even colleagues. The space A large entrance serves the living rooms and gives direct access to the garden. In the garden you will have access to the outbuilding which houses the garden furniture (table, 16 sunbeds...) and a barbecue; a fenced and heated swimming pool as well as a vaulted cellar (equipped with a Ping Pong table). The pool is heated from May until the end of September at no extra cost. However, it can be heated outside this period upon request. On the ground floor you will find a large living room with a stone fireplace and comfortable sofas, a dining room with a fireplace and two large tables, a bedroom (1 pair of convertible twin beds) and a large, very well-equipped kitchen. The two floors are dedicated to the 6 bedrooms (1 king-size bed, 14 single beds (in each bedroom a pair of beds that can be joined), 1 baby bed and 1 travel cot) and 5 bathrooms (1 sauna, 3 showers, 3 bathtubs, 5 toilets, a washing machine). In one of the 3 bedrooms on the 2nd floor, we leave at your disposal many games for children and adults (tea sets, brick games, baby games, board games, books, comics...). In a 2nd floor bedroom there is a foosball table, ideal for wild games with family or friends. Wifi in the whole house. Desk with screen in the master bedroom. Linens provided, and additional towels available on request (€3 per towel) During the heating season, please make sure to close the doors and windows properly. It's for your comfort, and the planet will thank you. During the winter months, heating is included in the rental amount. It should be noted that this is an old house with large volumes and that the temperatures oscillate in general, between 18 and 19 degrees. Guest access Access to the outbuilding is intended only for the storage of garden furniture. Other things to note Ideally located in the heart of the village, the Abbey of Saint Savin is located a few meters from the house. Lovers of nature, sports or heritage, with family or friends, you will be seduced by the Gartempe Valley. In the heart of the village, you can start with a guided tour of the Abbey, then extend your visit with a walk, bike or canoe along the Gartempe. The TERRA AVENTURA route (geocaching app) will allow you to discover the village in a fun way. The medieval city of Chauvigny is 18 km away (falconry show and rail bike), the Merovingian necropolis of Civaux is 25 km away, the Futuroscope is 45 km away. The village of Angles-sur-l'Anglin (ranked among the most beautiful villages in France) with its medieval ruins and old town is 18 km away. The spa town of La Roche Posay with a casino is 30 km away. Enjoy walks in the Brenne Regional Park and its ponds (25 km).
