The hustle and bustle of everyday life fades away when light pollution and sounds are left behind here in the shelter of the forests. Christmas time free: spend Christmas in the wilderness of Lapland in your own peace! A winter-inhabited cottage in a very quiet location between Soutajan and Mairivaara, crowned by a tarred outdoor sauna assembled from a 1940s log frame, where the atmosphere and steam are created by the Aito stove. Wilderness atmosphere from the nearby forests, close to the downhill skiing areas and 13 km to the slopes of Pyhätunturi. The snowmobile trail is also easily accessible. The space The premises are suitable for families, couples, and also possibly for a larger group due to the several bedrooms. Bedrooms 4 and 5 are not included in the basic rent and the premises are closed. However, they can easily be put into use as agreed. If there are more than six guests, please send a message, as there are more beds. The cottage was built at the turn of the 21st century. The additional room and the log sauna were built in 2022-2023. There is a total of approx. 70m2 of space on the lower floor and two approx. 10m2 lofts, which are isolated as their own spaces. The house is heated by radiators, Porin Matti and an air heat pump. There are two saunas, an electric indoor sauna and an outdoor sauna made of logs. Both warm up after a cold day of frost, with electricity a little faster and the outdoor sauna can be used by a few people. The outdoor sauna has a water pot for washing water. The sauna also has a battery-powered shower, so an indoor shower is not necessary. Double beds are good and sturdy with foam mattresses, single beds with spring mattresses. In the yard there are storage rooms, a woodshed, an outdoor sauna, a cottage and a very clean and almost odorless outdoor toilet. Please note that there is no separate toilet inside the house! Guest access Guests are allowed to stay in the entire cottage except for bedrooms 4 and 5 (if not rented separately). Special care must be taken when handling fire. The Pori Matti and the outdoor sauna stove are heated with wood, which is included in the cottage rental. Other things to note The water in the cottage comes from its own well and is clear and drinkable. Sometimes the water becomes slightly discolored, and when the water is drained, the color returns to normal. Tenants can also bring drinking water themselves if they feel it is necessary. The water pump is about 5l. If a lot of water is drained, the pump will also run frequently (quite noisy).
