Enjoy a memorable visit when you stay in this unique little Gem. Green Acres is located on 2 private acres surrounded by birdlife, reptiles & stary nights. Meet Honey & Sonny-boy our beautiful miniature horses, and Alfie our faithful Golden Retriever. Explore the beautiful Central Coast & all its surrounds, Beaches, Bush Walks, Shops, Restaurants, Cafes, Clubs, Pubs and Art Galleries, Cinemas, Sailing & Ferries right on the doorstep or just CHILL The space Green Acres offers a little bit of rustic nostalgia but with the comfort of modern living. The walls are lined with 100-year-old corrugated iron from my uncle's farm north of Goulburn, the timber architraves, skirtings, shelves and cupboard doors recycled from the original cottage still standing (just) on the property. Some windows and doors recycled, the polished concrete floor and the revamped 2nd hand kitchen plus a touch of retro all add to the charm. Although only 2 acres and on the doorstep to everything, our private nook from suburbia, you will feel like your miles from anywhere. Our rustic but homely guest accommodation has everything you need for your stay. Prepare dinner on the BBQ in the private covered courtyard overlooking a small garden and paddock where you may have the company of Honey and Sonny-boy our two miniature horses (carrots supplied if you wish to give them a treat). Listen to the sounds of nature settling down for the evening, enjoy the twinkling stars. Enter through the large barn door to the kitchen, dining area. The kitchen comes fully equipped with microwave oven, fridge/freezer with ice dispenser, toaster, sandwich maker, kettle, cutlery, utensils, crockery and glassware but there is no stove or oven. Cooking can be done on the BBQ or Microwave. Basic staples are supplied, a variety of tea, coffee bags, sugar, olive oil etc. The dining table can be used as a desk and the retro radio is also a CD player and Bluetooth. The bedroom has a comfortable queen bed, bedside tables and lamps. Two wardrobes, internal drawers and mirror in one and ironing board and iron in the other. There is a luggage bench connecting the two. Hangers and bathrobes supplied. Electric blanket, extra bedding and heater for the cooler nights and block out curtains if you wish to have a sleep in. There are also two armchairs, small table, a smart TV with internet connection, Netflix, Stan, books, games, magazines and French Doors (with retractable fly screen) that open out to the garden with a view to the paddock. You will find the bathroom at the end of the kitchen. There is a small change area with heated towel rail, toilet, vanity and shower. Basic bathroom supplies provided. Underfloor heating operates in the colder months. Behind the door is a small laundry area, washing liquid supplied. All water is collected from rainwater into our water tanks which is connected to a Puretec Hybrid filtration system making it extremely safe to drink. Our toilet is connected to an onsite sewerage treatment system so please don't put foreign objects down the toilet (incl sanitary items) as it upsets the ecosystem. We also ask please be considerate of water consumption as we all know water is precious. Guest access Entrance to the property is through an automated gate (code will be given prior to your arrival) drive down the driveway to the large green shed. Turn left at the shed and the parking area is in front of the retaining wall as well as adjacent to the cabin. There is enough room for boat, trailer, caravan and campervan, but prior arrangements need to be arranged. Once parked you will see two rustic gates (double & single). Enter through the pedestrian gate and you will be in the private courtyard. Please close all gates as Alfie our Golden Retriever knows no boundaries. Other things to note Your privacy and comfort are important to us however please be aware that this is a private home so you may encounter us about the property at times or have a visit from Alfie looking for a pat or bbq sausage, please ignore his pitiful starvation look and don't feed him as his on a strict diet. Green Acres takes a maximum of 2 guests and possibly a babe in arms. It is a peaceful, quiet spot only an hour away from the hustle and bustle of city life, it is not a party house however If you wish to have friends or a small gathering whilst here we are open to discussion.
