Tranquil Cabin in the Woods

Our pet-friendly cabin is tucked into some woods in north Cornwall. The large living room is surrounded by windows, so it's bright and light whatever the time of day. In the warmer months there's a large deck on which to relax, spot birds and other wildlife and be surrounded by the green of the trees. In cooler months it's perfect to hunker down with a book or disengage from the world for a while. Yet when you want to explore, the cabin is deceptively close to the area's coast, towns and sights. The space Our cabin is a timber building, kitted out to a high standard with modern fittings and fixtures. There's a big decking area outside, and the cabin has large windows which mean the main living area is light despite being bounded on two sides by woodland. The main living area is open plan, and has a fitted kitchen, a dining area and a lounge with views of the woods, but also of the large flat screen TV. There are two comfortable settees. The dining area can seat up to six. In the kitchen there is a fridge freezer, dishwasher, oven, microwave and hob. There are also cafetierres and coffee maker plus all the utensils and ovenware needed for self-catering and long stays. Our cabin has two bathrooms - a family bathroom with sink, toilet and a bath which has an overhead shower. The second bathroom is a small ensuite attached to the main bedroom with a shower, toilet and basin. There is also a separate utility room with a washing machine and a sink where you can do your laundry or clean your pets before entering the cabin. In the master bedroom there is a King Size bed, a TV, and a full length mirrored cupboard. The bedroom is a cosy size in order to maximise the living space of the lodge, yet also possesses the ensuite shower room and loo. The twin room has two single beds, a tv, ample cupboard space for two, and a bedside cabinet with drawers. (NB. We reserve a section of this cupboard space for storage of our equipment to maintain the cabin.) The cabin is at the edge of the site and down the hill towards the wooded valley where a small stream runs. Because of this it is at the outer limits of the site WiF signal and bandwith are limited, and also there is usually no phone signal in the cabin. We treat our visits as an opportunity to be off-grid for a while. But you'll be able to collect and send messages and emails, and make phone calls elsewhere on site. Guest access Guests have exclusive use of the lodge. You also have access to the grounds of the site, which is shared with other cabins on the small, exclusive site. This includes and an area of oak woodland, which was also the site of an iron age settlement, still visible by the footpath which follows the circle of the ramparts.
