Cosy Cottage with Log Fire, Walk to Rutland Water

Puddle Cottage is a traditional, character stone cottage built in the 1800’s in the heart of Edith Weston, a popular Rutland village and walking distance to the South shore of Rutland Water. With one large bedroom which can offer a super king sized bed, or two full size single beds, the cottage can sleep two comfortably. We are proud that the cottage holds a 4 star rating and a prestigious ROSE Award (Recognition of Service Excellence) by Visit England for self-catering accommodation. The space Puddle Cottage was built in 1849 and has been renovated to a high standard providing the mod cons to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The cottage has one very comfortable first floor bedroom which can be laid out to offer either one super king size bed or two full sized single beds. The bedroom is equipped with a wardrobe, chest of drawers, and bedside tables with bedside lights. There is also a dressing area with a full length mirror. The recently refitted bathroom has a shower over the bath, mirror and heated towel rail. The ground floor sitting room is perfect for a cosy evening. There is an open log fire, comfortable sofa (which can also be used as a double sofa bed), armchair, as well as a large flat screen TV with Freeview and DVD player. A selection of games, books and information on the local area are also provided for you to enjoy. WIFI is also provided for our guests to use free of charge. The refurbished ground floor kitchen, which overlooks the garden, is very well equipped and includes an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a dining area with table and chairs. Don’t worry about packing the cooking essentials as you will find some of the basics ready for you such as tea and coffee, sugar, kitchen roll and washing up liquid. If the weather allows, why not relax in the cottage garden, where a garden table and chairs are provided on a patio area, and fresh herbs are grown. Off road parking is available in a large, off road, gravel area at the back of the cottage (shared with Snowdrop Cottage nextdoor). Guest access Guests have full and exclusive access to the entire cottage during their stay, including both the front and back gardens. The property is completely private and is not shared with anyone else, ensuring you can relax and enjoy the space in comfort. You are welcome to use all areas of the cottage and outdoor spaces throughout your stay.
