Enjoy beautiful 180-degree views of the Core Sound with star lit nights in this historic waterfront farmhouse. Get away and into the solitude of this charming fishing community in Carteret County. Wake up and sip your coffee to the most incredible sunrises over the barrier Islands of Cape Lookout National Seashore. Our Farmhouse was built throughout the first half of the 20 century and is very comfortable, charming and spacious with characteristics of years past. Must have a boat to access beach The space As you enter the house from the back porch, you enter the full kitchen with stainless steel appliances and six burner gas stove perfect for preparing your freshly caught seafood feast! Kitchen is fully equipped with new cookware, cooking utensils and basic staples. Full set of dinner ware. Keurig station provides some of your favorite teas and coffee. Breakfast table seats 6. There is no dishwasher Laundry room is in ½ bath just off the kitchen with stackable washer and dryer. Transition from the kitchen to the well-appointed dining room with seating for 8. You will find games and puzzles in the built-in cabinetry. The living room has a cozy sectional with recliners at each end. Large screen smart TV. The master bedroom is just off the living room with a private bathroom. The bathroom is not full enclosed at the top (see photo). Upstairs you will find two waterfront bedrooms, one TV/family room and a back bedroom with two twin beds and one double bed perfect for the kids. The upstairs bathroom has a walk-in shower. Outside you will find a back porch with rocking chairs that leads to a lovely side porch with a two-person swing, picnic table and gas grill. The front porch has relaxing Adirondack chairs and hammock. Walk off the porch and into the spacious yard overlooking the water which allows for outdoor games, frisbee, and kite flying. Start down the 200' shared pier and start fishing, crabbing and boating. Bring your kayaks, paddle boards and motorized boats. Fish Cleaning Station (opposite side of white garage) and spigots with hose for cleaning beach toys, fishing equipment, or your boat Guest access ACCESS -Farmhouse -Yard -Shared Pier NON-ACCESS -White Detached Garage -Side Yard (North side of house) with boats Other things to note REST, RELAX, RESTORE, and GET OUTSIDE! Outdoor Enthusiasts, Wildlife lovers, and Sportsmen love the Downeast area. Fishing, Birding, Clamming, Sunbathing, Swimming and more! Bring your boat, kayak, or jet ski to scoot over (1.5 miles) to the National Seashore or "the banks" as they are locally called where you will get the rare opportunity to experience the outer banks as nature intended. Some great boating activities include: -Exploring the Cedar Island National Wildlife Refuge - Fish Ophelia Inlet for trophy Redfish ("Drum" around here) -Surf fish the Cape Lookout National Seashore -Shelling and beachcombing miles of untouched Beach If you don't bring a boat don't worry, you can also catch a private ferry over to North Core banks from the Morris Marina Ferry 5 minutes away (Seasonal so check schedule). Another private ferry in Davis (15 miles) can access South Core Banks and Cape Lookout (seasonal). Keep in mind the sound is very shallow and is best with a shallow draft boats. It is also important to have a depth finder, knowledge of channel markers and proper navigation in coastal waters. Water shoes are also a must as the sound has oysters, shells, and other sharp objects. Please note there is an exterior camera facing the driveway and back door to the property.
