The living room with a stone surround wood-burning fireplace and TV to your left and a dining room with seating for everyone on your right. Continue through the open archway and you will find the modern kitchen, perfect for preparing meals during your stay. The back of the home has a laundry room and half bathroom. Thorson's Cottage has three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Bedroom One has an attached bathroom and is located on the main level, while Bedrooms 2 and 3 are on the upper level and share a full bathroom. Both bedrooms on the upper level boast an amazing Lake Superior view. Outside you will find a lake-facing deck with a BBQ grill and room to enjoy a meal outside. The spacious yard is perfect for hanging out and having some family time together and includes a fire pit. Take a stroll down to the private shoreline area and enjoy a beautiful stretch of the Lake Superior shoreline, the perfect place for agate hunting and rock skipping. Bring your boat in the summer and your snowmobiles in the winter- the large parking area has plenty of room for a trailer! Thorson's Landing is located right next door (not visible from the home) and can accommodate six more guests. Lake Access Note: Lake access is rated "difficult" at this property as it requires walking along a narrow walkway that can be slippery and tricky to navigate. You are also just a short drive up the shore to the towns of Schroeder and Tofte. Temperance River State Park is located between the two towns. The home is about half an hour from the Lutsen Mountains ski area and a 50-minute drive to the town of Grand Marais. Thorson's Cottage is located in a very quiet, peaceful area. There is only one visible neighbors from the home and only a couple of houses visible from the shoreline area. The shoreline area is private to the home, not public.
