Casa Malrotti - 18th Century house salt water pool

Overlooking Roero and Langhe Hills, Casa Malrotti is elegant, while relaxed and homely. Homely because it is our home. We live in a part of the property with separate entrance. We love having people come to enjoy the house and gardens and meeting new people from all over the world. Situated with its back to the village of Govone, the only views are that of nature giving you the best of both worlds. Sauna and Hot Tub available all year with salt water pool open in-season (April - September). The space From the late 18th century, original flooring and fresco's bring you back into the history while a recent revovation brings only the best in comfort, services and construction. The garden, sloping down into the beautiful valley below, has many areas to enjoy with many fruit trees, saltwater pool, orangeria, our henhouse (which you can enjoy the eggs), private spa and our little vineyard, from which we make our own wine - Vino Malrotti. The ground floor of the property opens to the garden through many doors and contains a living room, kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen is equipped with a new oven and gas cooking unit, 2 large fridges, dishwasher and all tools required. The first floor has the 1st master bedroom and a second suite, accessable from the terrace. The second floor consists of 2 bedrooms with a shared bathroom. The 3rd floor has 2 very spacious attic suites, both en suite and bath. Additional bedding or anything required for children can be organised. The basement has our own wine selection which we can make available to guests who would need it and the large dining space is perfect for dinner parties. 4/6 Bedrooms have double beds while the other two have the option to split into singles. Guest access The entire house as shown in photos is private to our guests. Within the same structure (but with separate entrance) is home to our family - Mom, Dad, two daughters, cat and a super-friendly wheaten terrier. The main entrance to the property, gardens and pool are shared. Other things to note The village of Govone, although a small, country village is fantastically equipped. A medium supermarket is just 40M from the back entrance. There are several bars and restaurants, a laundry and hardware shop. Situated at the point where Langhe, Roero and Monferrato meet, Govone is the ideal base for exploring anyone of these 3 areas. The Castle is a bussle all summer with events and tours while the gardens, open to the public, are a beautiful place to explore in all seasons. From the beginning of December, the whole village transforms into the "Il Magico Paese di Natale" which attracts thousands of guests from far to come. Children can enjoy a theatre experience followed a meeting with Santa, while cabins pop up all over town selling local crafts and foods. It's really cute actually! The most important detail to note is that this is our home and not a business rental. We live here during rentals although we give our guests space to enjoy their time here uninterrupted. Which often happens, we may get to know our guests and this usual happens but we leave this up to you. We are a family with 2 small children so if you are a group looking for a place to party this won’t be the right atmosphere for you. Although we are in the country, we have neighbours and we ask our guests to respect our quiet hours of 11pm - 7am. We would also like to remind you that we are oblidged to collect a tourist tax from each guest (above the age of 12).
