Experience peace and nature in our luxurious Schierhuus, in the middle of the forest of Norg. Relax in the hot tub or sauna, listen to the rustling of the trees and enjoy the evening by the fireplace. Everything is included: made-up box spring beds, towels, fully equipped kitchen, unlimited wood to cozy up in the conservatory to light the fireplace and to heat the hot tub. Perfect for a relaxing midweek, weekend or wellness retreat – for couples, families or friends who appreciate peace and luxury. The space Welcome in the Schierhuus! This cozy holiday home is cozy enough for a cozy and romantic getaway with just the two of you, but offers up to eight people, and therefore also ideal for families. Coming with with two? Then you only rent the ground floor. But, rest assured the stay is private at all times: it doesn't happen that there are other guests upstairs while you are staying downstairs. A larger party is subject to an extra charge of €35/person/night. Please note that the living room with eight adults is cozy (we recommend 6 adults max, but have also had groups of 8 adults who had a great time!). Downstairs layout: Upon entering, you will find a hallway with stairs upstairs, a toilet and access to the bedroom and the living room. The bedroom has a comfortable double box spring (180 cm) and an en suite bathroom. The living room has a fully equipt kitchen where you will find everything for a delicious meal. The dining table seats 6, with extra folding chairs for larger groups. On the spacious lounge sofa you can relax with a good book or a movie. From the living room you enter the conservatory, where you are sheltered but still experience the outdoor feeling. Enjoy the cozy fireplace (in winter this entire conservatory can heat in +/- 45 minutes) perfect for the fresh evenings, and in summer the sides can open for even more contact with nature. Extras for a Relaxed Experience (including in the price!!): Take a dip in the wood-fired hot tub, or relax in our new Finnish sauna, complete with an outdoor shower for an ultimate experience in nature! Upper floor (Optional): Also, do you rent upstairs? Then you have three extra spacious bedrooms with box-spring beds, to be made up as single or double beds, plus a second luxurious bathroom. Het Schierhuus offers the perfect mix of comfort, nature and relaxation. Norg and its surroundings: Welcome to idyllic Norg, the perfect getaway for nature-lovers and bon vivants! Relax in the middle of nature, surrounded by vast forests and heathlands full of hiking and cycling routes. For a unique experience, Veenhuizen – a fascinating former prison village and UNESCO World Heritage Site – is a short distance away, where you can enjoy museums and impressive monuments. In Norg itself you will find everything for a relaxing stay. At 10 minutes by bike, you can do your shopping at local shops, taste your artisanal ice cream and enjoy cozy eateries. End your evening with the local pub quiz, a perfect opportunity to experience the atmosphere and hospitality of the village. Want to take a trip into town? Within 30 minutes you are in Groningen, Assen or Drachten, where you have plenty of culture, shops and restaurants. Norg offers you the ideal combination of nature, history and village coziness! Guest access You will use the house entirely for yourself. There is no one else present on the premises. Upon request, there is access to the barn to use the washing machine and dryer. Other things to note Note: -minimal occupancy: 2 nights - Out of respect for nature and the neighbors, we like to keep it quiet after 10 p.m. - Cottage not suitable for groups of young people - Final cleaning costs include 40 euros contribution for unlimited wood - the prices are included, bedding, bath towels, water, Electra etc! No hidden fees. - the road to the cottage is unpaved, if it has rained hard your car gets dirty! - The cottage is accessible by public transport, but keep in mind that it is roughly a 20-30 minute walk. -this cottage is pet free
