Welcome to Springfield Farm Holiday Pods. We are situated just south of Edinburgh, making us the ideal rural location for holiday makers looking for country pursuits or city excursions. Whether it’s a romantic break for two, a holiday for the family or friends coming together to have a catch up, we can accommodate you in our luxury glamping pods. Take a tour of Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile, explore the Pentland Hills and the Scottish Borders or just sit back and relax at your pod. The space Each pod can sleep up to 6 people, with a king-size bed in the main bedroom, two small single beds in the second bedroom and the 3 seater sofa bed in the living area folds out to become a double bed. Bed linen and towels are provided for you. We have also managed to find some storeage solutions which we hope will be useful. An open plan living space, with a small, yet fully-equipped kitchen featuring a state-of-the-art induction hob, a compact convection oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and cupboards equipped with most things you will need for your stay. We have included pots/pan, utensils, mugs, plates and glasses etc. A fold away dining table with chairs, allowing you to sit together and eat or use it as a place to read or catch up on emails. A comfy three seater sofa and extra chairs, with cosy throws and cushions create a luxurious and cosy space for relaxing after a busy day. You have double doors taking you out in to the patio with panoramic breath-taking views of the of the surrounding natural landscape and The Pentland Hills. Out on the patio you have your outdoor dining furniture, BBQ and hot tub. Use the space to relax, have your morning coffee, soak in the hot tub, enjoy alfresco dining, fire up the BBQ or enjoy the stunning sunsets. The choice is yours. Smart TV with digital channels, complimentary Wifi and USB sockets to charge those gadgets. A separate bathroom with WC, sink and electric shower. Whatever the time of year your stay will be warm and cosy. The cabins are double glazed, insulated and fully heated throughout. The Pods are situated beside one of the fields on the farm and throughout the year you may see cattle or sheep grazing quietly during your stay. If you want to bring your four legged friend, a well behaved dog is welcome to stay in Green Law Pod and has an added charge applied at checkout with additional rules to help with their stay. BBQ packs of our own farm produce are available to buy with a range of burgers, sausages, bacon and steak to tempt you. If you have an electric car, we have a charging point situated near the pods. Guest access Guests have use of the whole pod and patio area, car park and grass areas on the site. Short walks on the farm track are accessable. Other things to note It is a working farm and we will be carrying our farm duties as normal working practice. We will keep this to a minimum in the field where the pods are situated. Please note, after every guest has checked out, we drain, clean and refill the hot tub. This means the water may not be at the peak temperature for your 4pm check in time especially during the colder winter months. We will have it on and it will be heating up however how quickly it gets to the correct temperature is largely determined by air temperatures. We expect it to be ready later in the evening on your arrival however it can take until the following morning should there be really low temperatures. We also check the hot tub chemical levels daily.
