Cottage in Vineuil

The gate opens, a gravel driveway, century-old trees - and already, the sound of the water. The Cosson has been flowing under the mill since the 15th century. The cottage occupies the right wing of this characterful building, 5 km from Blois and 13 km from Chambord, in a preserved natural setting at the end of a road that few people know about. The space 170 m² on the first floor of the right wing, accessible by the mill's exterior stone staircase. Living Area Large bright room - dining room, fully equipped open kitchen renovated in 2025, living room with TV. Heating and air conditioning in all rooms (individual remote control). The wood-burning stove is an addition — a real presence in the winter evenings; wood is provided. Rooms 3 bedrooms (1 queen bed, 1 king bed, 2 single beds) + 1 master suite set back, with a king size bed, private shower and toilet - ideal for parents who want their own space. Beds made on arrival, towels and toiletries provided. Garden Fully south facing, enclosed and private. Summer table, Weber gas BBQ, deckchairs under the linden tree. Guest access The entire gite (1st floor): 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, office area. Access is via an external stone staircase: private parking → mill courtyard → vacation rental staircase. The path is lit. Outside Private garden of the cottage: enclosed, facing south, accessible from the kitchen. Parc du Moulin: large open space on the river, freely accessible banks of the Cosson · trampoline · slackline (caution near the water). On request, subject to availability Bicycles · kayak · boat. Other things to note The mill is in a river zone: the Cosson can rise in season. The accommodation is elevated and the courtyard is not affected - but the park may be partially flooded from time to time. Wildlife is part of the place: ducks, herons, kingfishers, carp, and pike in the Cosson. Fishing is possible directly from the park (equipment not provided). Environment: heating and air conditioning provided by heat pumps, water treatment by phyto-purification (reed filter). As natives of the region, we returned after 18 years of expatriation in Asia and the United States and chose the Moulin de Vineuil as our family home.
