Your reservation includes all the amenities of a hotel and more: coffee maker, mini-fridge, microwave, fireplace, blender, wine glasses, heating, a/c, extra pillows, linens, private firepit, picnic table + patio. Cows and horses are your neighbors and you'll probably see plenty of butterflies and rabbits and birds of all kinds here at The Flat Land Center where you can Enjoy an extra-hot outdoor shower in our rustic outhouse and unplug from the stresses of the modern world… You are safely tucked away in the wild, tropical countryside at our growing "campLOUNGE" Art-Agro-Farm born of creative ethics for the traveling earth dweller. The neighborhood is camp territory, right down the street from Tosohatchee Wildlife Management Area where guests can see the largest stand of cypress forest still left uncut in the state of Florida. Over 900 acres of virgin cypress trees can be found growing along Jim Creek with the oldest slash pines, some nearly 250 years old. Recreational activities include hiking, bird watching, fishing, horseback riding and limited hunting. Within a very short drive from your campsite is Fort Christmas Historical Park and Museum. Visit the full size replica of Fort Christmas. Seven restored historical homes interpreted to show pioneer life from the 1870s through the 1930s. Key themes are homesteading, cattle, citrus, hunting, sugarcane production, weaving and more. The Park has three picnic pavilions two of which seat 100 people and one which seats 50 people. Each pavilion has a large barbeque grill, electrical outlets and water hose. For pavilion rental please call. There is a playground with swings, slide, a "fort" jungle gym, and areas for small children. There is a basketball court, tennis court and red clay baseball/kickball field Other attractions near by: Jungle Adventures and Midway Fish Camp Airboat rides off St. John's river uber, lyft , bike or walk! Community facilities: We built you a few eco chic composting toilets around camp with “sawdust flush”, Its a Short walk from your site ( about 30 seconds) Please cover business COMPLETELY with the sawdust even if u go # 1, that includes toilet paper. It should take about 2-4 scoops of the sawdust from bucket. ALL Locals must message us with their purpose for stay in the area when booking. This listing is only available to the amount of people booked through Airbnb. No parties. There is a daily “unauthorized late checkout” fee of $150 for each guest who refuses to checkout after designated, scheduled time. When booking, you agree to release the owners of property or hosts of any and all liability. Soak all areas around firepit before burning and always keep hose or water jugs nearby. Wildlife, bugs, reptiles etc are native to Florida. Camp at your own risk. Please Note : The water is natural sulfur, fluoride-free water from a well. Yes it does smell like sulfur and it’s Amazing for the skin, but do not drink. No pets inside any of our cabins, yurts or preset tents.
