Enter the bright and sunny lounge/diner and put the kettle on, the room’s cosy window seat is the perfect spot to snuggle up with a cup of tea and a good book. In the evening, cook up a storm in the lovely country kitchen or step outside and dine alfresco in the cottage’s gorgeous garden. At the end of the day, relax in the lounge area or retire to one of the two spacious bedrooms upstairs for a good night’s sleep. Take your pups for a lovely walk at Cotswolds Wildlife Park and Gardens (7.5 miles), where four-legged friends are welcome everywhere except in the Bat Belfry, Reptile House, Children’s Farmyard and any areas with free-ranging animals. You are sure to enjoy walking around its wonderful Walled Garden. Or for a day out with a difference, head to Toddington for a trip on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway (16.5 miles). This beautifully preserved steam and diesel heritage railway welcomes well-behaved dogs in its standard class carriages.
