Grandma's Getaway, named for having her furniture, is to the left inside the front door past both stairways. Private 3/4-bath, i.e., shower, sink, toilet, with toiletries provided: soap, shampoo, conditioner, and the vanity mirror with travel items if you forgot something. The work space is small, but you will have access to shared rooms with larger spaces if needed. Please give grace if the room looks different than the picture; I often change out quilts and coverlets to keep things fresh. The space Guest are mostly considered family with an open welcome! Sitting areas are set up in both the front and back yard; so if the weather is nice they are available to use. Guest access Guests use a Schlage smart lock on the front door, coded to the Airbnb "suggested code." I text guests a picture of the lock with directions on the image near the reservation arrival date. You are welcome to park on the street along the front of the house, and keep car wheels on the tarmac rather than the sidewalk for both the mowing crew (to protect your car) and so your passengers need not step out into wet grass in any rain. During your stay Several meetings convene in my home, but usually in the basement for everyone's privacy. If a meeting is held in the living room, guests are welcome should they wish to participate. And, all guests are welcome to use the living room to socialize, read, or visit. Other things to note IWU has grown "around" my home; that makes walking and bike riding an easy jaunt for school events. Restaurants and shopping are 1 mile west on the S Western Av. / "the bypass." I do not love cyberspace. With all my involvments, I may have blocked a day that you wish to reserve. If a date that looks unavailable, ask about it; I may be able to open it for you depending on the reason for the block.
