The space 123 Marina is a spacious 19th century seafront property built in the 1830's by James Burton; the original architect of St Leonards on Sea. The coastal town was conceived with seaside fun and relaxation in mind, and the house has been respectfully restored to extend that purpose into the 21st Century. St Leonards was established to be an upscale resort and attracted Londoners drawn to its sea air and feeling of space. Now a more democratic and diverse area, St Leonards is thriving with independent businesses from much-loved restaurants to vintage boutiques and art galleries. But the real draw is the life-giving southern light and open ocean on its doorstep. Directly facing the shingle beach, a stay at the house is perfectly placed for an early morning sea swim, or a moon-bathed hot toddy on the stones. This room is equipped with a log burner, plus a huge victorian mahogany table that seats eight comfortably. There is also a sofa and a piano. The fully equipped kitchen is also on the ground floor. Inside you will find two under counter fridges; one with a large ice box. A five ring induction range with two ovens and a grill. A dishwasher. A Quooker instant boilling water tap. The full width lounge on the first floor is furnished with a selection of designer and vintage pieces, selected for style and comfort; a wonderful spot to enjoy the incredible sea views in any weather. There is a smart TV, a selection of games and a Bluetooth speaker for when you tire of the view (which you won't!) A log burner completes the room. The green bedroom and a bathroom with huge cast iron roll top bath are also located on the first floor. Three out of the four bedrooms have amazing king sized, antique French beds with modern memory foam mattresses. There are three more bedrooms on the second (top) floor. One of the these has a king sized bed that can be unzipped to create two singles; please specify if you need singles when booking.
