Chalet La Piste is a freestanding, two-storey cabin that sits nestled in the Victorian High Country overlooking Alpine bushland and embracing wildlife visitors. In the grounds of The Sebel Pinnacle Valley, it is 5 minutes drive from the Mt Buller gates and surrounded by rivers, mountains and wineries, making it an ideal holiday destination all-year round. The space The chalet's ground level is open plan with a living room and kitchen, adjoining bedroom (with twin beds) and bathroom – and an expansive decked veranda, a wondrous spot to relax, reconnect and commune with visiting fauna. The interior has been beautifully decorated to reflect surrounding treetops hues. It is equipped with Starlink Wi-fi , 3 flat screen TVs, a drying cupboard for ski garments or swimming costumes. The main bedroom upstairs, with king bed, has an en suite. The sofa bed for two, on the ground floor, expands the sleeping quarters to 6 – its mattress is furnished with a lush bed topper, as are all the beds. Guest access After adventuring all day, this is a picture-perfect spot to unwind. Visitors enjoy all the features of the Sebel’s all-seasons destination. The warmer months can be spent soaking up the sunshine by the swimming pool (and shaded toddler's pool) or strolling through alpine bushland, spotting flora and fauna. Breakfast, scones and dinner at Peaks Restaurant, boating on the lake, 18-hole mini golf, tennis court/ basketball, volleyball court, gymnasium, games room, bike hire. Or, for the adventurous, the region offers horse riding, hiking and biking trails. Winter is peak season in this alpine wonderland. Time to hit the nearby ski fields and to embrace a mountain with an action-packed calendar even for non-skiers (i.e. husky rides). Afterwards, you may choose to soak in the resort’s spa and sauna or snuggle up in front of the open fire in Peak’s Restaurant bar, a few minutes walk up the hill. The resort has a laundry with washing machines and dryers, plus a large drying room for skis and other items too large for the private drying cupboard in the chalet. Other things to note Chalet La Piste, the only chalet at the Sebel that is freestanding, has a playful treehouse vibe due to the splendour of surrounding greenery – towering ancient gums, sweeping lawns, the scent of eucalypt, a sea of golden wattle in spring and multiple blooms as the seasons change. Accordingly, during the day, guests may commune with cheeky King Parrots, Sulphur Crested Cockatoos, Pink Galahs and Rosellas while the occasional laughing Kookaburra may perch on the rail nearby for its own moment of soulful contemplation. Kangaroos are plentiful around the property and, In the late afternoons, they make their way across the front of the chalet's balcony to feed and find shelter in the adjacent forest.
