Family home with 2 double bedrooms and 2 single bedrooms (single beds for children only-no adults) and a garden, trampoline, footballs & goal posts and lots of toys for kids in a cosy lounge. The house is situated in Newnham, close to the River Severn and the Forest of Dean. There's a large playground, basketball court and playing field just 30 seconds from the house. We have beautiful views from the house. In Newnham there’s a village shop, post office, a lovely cafe, galleries and two pubs. The space There are four bedrooms: one with a queen size bed, another with a double bed and en suite and then there are 2 single beds (single beds for children only-no adults). You will have access to most of the house including the large character kitchen with fireplace, and a very cosy lounge with a fire. There is Apple TV, Netflix, BBC, karaoke! There is a utility room with dishwasher and washing machine and a downstairs bathroom. The main bathroom has a shower and bath. We have a very nature-friendly garden with lots of birds and wildlife hanging out on the birdfeeders. We have a trampoline and there is also a large playground, basketball court, skate park and large playing field with goalposts just 30 seconds walk from the house. We have beautiful views from the top floor, including rolling hills and the forest. The river is close by and has beautiful walks. As well as being a short walk into the village, with all of its amenities, activities which are close by include two Go Apes, a butterfly zoo, maze, caves, old railways, numerous National Trust properties, dozens of walks, arboretums, a colliery and cycling adventures. The house has easy access to plenty of stunning countryside and ample public footpaths. We are a short drive to dozens of walks and cycling paths in the Forest of Dean, 20 minutes drive from Gloucester, 35 minutes to the Cotswolds, 45 minutes to Bristol and 1 hour 15 minutes to Cardiff. All are within easy reach by car or train. There is free parking on our driveway (2 cars) and on the street. We have many years of experience as Airbnb hosts (in our previous home) and will be available to answer any questions. Polite Request Please treat the property as if it is your own. Please respect it and take care of it because it is our home and we live in it. We open it up on Airbnb when we are travelling to Canada, where half our family is from. When you stay there will be personal items and belongings in the house including photographs and foodstuff. Very importantly, because this is our family home, we only accept guests who have recent positive reviews from other Airbnb hosts. This is strict. We do not allow smokers and will consider pets if they are kept downstairs. Also, we have neighbours all around us and we do not want to bother them with any excess noise or problems. If you are in need of help please do not approach the neighbours. Instead, message me via Airbnb or on my phone number. Guest access You will have access to most of the house including the large character kitchen with fireplace, dining room, and a very cosy lounge with a fire. There is Apple TV, Netflix, BBC. There is a utility room with dishwasher and washing machine. The only areas which guests must not access, under any circumstances, is an office on the first floor. Please do not use it, it is not included in the booking and is private. Other things to note We only accept guests who have recent positive reviews from other Airbnb hosts. This is strict. Please treat the property as if it is your own. Please respect it and take care of it because it is our home. We open it up on Airbnb when we are travelling ourselves.
