In the evening, the market is filled with life, a huge variety of restaurants and bars offer the local cuisine in its modern version. If you want to experience Jerusalem fully, it's in the Mahane Yehuda market. Also a short drive away (5-15 minutes) there are: the Israel Museum, the Museum of Islamic Art, the International Christian Embassy, the Knesset - the Israeli Parliament, the German Colony, the Biblical Zoo and more.
