Accommodation & Pottery 1-Day Experience at Kominka Hotel Shikinokami (Renovated Kominka)

[The experience is available for 2 or more people, meet at the experience location at 10:30 am, check out of the accommodation at 10 am the next day, and you will need a car to get around] We have a collaboration plan with the renovated old private house "Komin Ka Hotel Shiki no Ie" and a local ceramic artist who makes pottery! Why not have a special experience with friends and family in an old house surrounded by nature? This plan includes a full day of pottery making. Under the guidance of a ceramist, you can experience the full process from authentic soil kneading to shaping and scraping. The baked work will be delivered at a later date. Shiki no Ie is an old private house with a view of the pure stream and calm fields through the cherry blossom trees in front of you, where you can feel the changing nature of the four seasons on your skin. It is a fusion of old Japanese style and modern, high-quality spaces. The space The 4 bedrooms (Western-style rooms) on the 2nd floor each have 2 single beds and can accommodate up to 8 people. The first floor is equipped with a spacious Japanese-style room and an open dining kitchen, so you can bring in your own ingredients and enjoy cooking and eating. If you stretch your legs out from the edge of the Japanese-style room, you can relax in the pleasant air of the countryside. Guest access It can be used as a private rental villa. There are 2 western-style toilets and 1 unit bath. Other things to note Experiences for 5 or more people are available upon request. The pottery experience will be held at a different location from the accommodation. Parking is available for up to 2 vehicles at the experience location. If you are coming with more than one car, please park at the accommodation and share a ride to the experience location. Due to the nature of the renovated old house, it is not barrier-free. You have to climb stairs to get to the guest rooms on the second floor. As a general rule, we do not allow pets, but please consult with us in advance about bringing guide dogs, etc. There is a fee for changing of linens and amenities for consecutive nights.
