Nostalgic gem in the middle of Lofoten

You are warmly welcome to our peaceful farm in the middle of Lofoten. Valberg is a smart place to stay if you want to explore both east and west. Gammelstua is ideal for couples or small groups who like the authentic - here time has stood still for decades! (If you are more than 2 guests, please contact me to get an offer. In September and October the default number if guests is set to 2, but I can adjust by request) The space What does Gammelstua offer? Charm, generosity and tranquility. The house is located a stone's throw from the sea, at the foot of a lush valley between mighty mountains. With us, you get ready-made beds, towels, coffee and tea, firewood and use of the washing machine included in the rent. Optional wood burning or electric heating. Few have discovered Valberg and here you get away from the tourist flow. The place is located in the middle of Lofoten - a short distance to all the places you want to experience: 📍20 minutes drive to Stamsund 📍25 minutes to Leknes airport 📍26 minutes to Gimsøy (Note: There is a 24-hour grocery store here!) 📍35 minutes to Hauklandsstrand 📍40 minutes to Svolvær airport 📍45 minutes to Henningsvær 📍1 hour, 30 minutes to Moskenes ferry pier 📍1 hour, 45 minutes to Reine Kitchen, bathroom, living room and one bedroom on the ground floor. Two charming bedrooms in the attic (note the steep stairs!). The house is equipped with a washing machine, refrigerator, stove, and practical things like a microwave, toaster, waffle iron, hairdryer and bluetooth speaker. Guest access The house is located on a disused farm with a house, barn, boathouse and garage. You are welcome to stroll around the farm or sit down with a cup of coffee on the grass outside to enjoy the birdlife. It is part of the fields and open countryside that are suitable for short walks. Your dog will love to run here! I am happy to answer questions about Lofoten and help you have a nice stay. Come and take part in the rich history of Gammelstua! Other things to note Gammelstua is a very old house and is unfortunately not suitable for travelers with disabilities, due to steep stairs and high thresholds. The accommodation is not suitable for children. The ceilings are low. There is no soundproofing between the floors. The house does not have a dishwasher or TV. Dogs must be on a leash in our municipality between April 1 and August 31. In order to protect the birdlife in Lofoten and show consideration for grazing animals, it is important to comply with this. However, the dog can be loose on our farm. If you want to have a bicycle during your stay, I recommend booking with Lofoten bike rental in Leknes.
