Farm-stay with views of Lake Corangamite

A unique and remote farm stay at our cottage boasting beautiful views, a perfect balance of lush pasture and an internationally significant wetland (RAMSAR site). Wake up with the sun, animals on the farm and birds from the surrounds and Lake Corangamite. Spend your day exploring the beauty of the area and end with a warming fire and star gazing. The cottage sleeps up to 8 people and is the perfect spot to bring family or friends for a weekend away or a few days to work remotely. The space The Cottage looks over Lake Corangamite which is a wetland of international significance (RAMSAR site). The Cottage has old school charm with plenty of genuine character. We provide fresh, clean bed sheets and towels for each stay. A cosy wood fire heater in the Kitchen (and split system in the Living Room) for those brisk nights or if you like to enjoy a fire and drink outside, the firepit is only steps from the cottage to use in the cooler months. Sit on the deck and take in the sun coming up in the morning with complimentary tea/coffee (Nespresso machine and pods) provided. 3 bedrooms, two queen beds and the third bedroom has two king singles with single trundle beds as well. You can comfortably sleep 8 people. The Kitchen is fully equipped with an electric stove top and oven, dishwasher, microwave, large fridge/freezer, coffee machine and kids dinnerware. The bathroom has a toilet, shower and baby bath provided if a laundry trough isn’t for you. Starlink internet provided. You can be fully connected to work during the week or watch movies on the smart TV at night if nature isn’t your thing. Outdoor dining made easy with an undercover 8-seater table and Webber BBQ (with gas) provided. For the kids: We have a large basket of toys, array of books, board games, highchair, kids plates etc for a picnic and many many more outdoor adventures on offer. Location / Getting there: We are located just over 2hrs from Melbourne. Driving times to the following tourist destinations/locations: - Colac (20mins) - Camperdown (20mins) - The Otways (45mins) - Elephant Bridge Hotel (Great pub with kids’ playground, 50mins) - 12 Apostles (1hr) - Port Campbell (1hr) - Otway Fly Treetop Adventure (1hr) - The Redwood Otways (1hr 10mins) - Warrnambool (1hr 20mins) We are happy to provide recommendations for restaurants/events that might be on throughout your stay. Guest access The entire cottage is yours as well as lanes through the farm towards the lake or for a walking loop around the farm. The cottage is situated 500m from the main house, so you have full privacy. There are no other houses within view from the cottage. If you would like to explore Lake Corangamite and the birdlife on offer, we are happy to show you the best access route. Other things to note This cottage is a unique farm stay that will make you feel like you’re in a very remote part of the world, albeit only 20minutes from Camperdown and Colac. Enjoy some time to recharge. Animals are welcome but keep them outside. The farm does have some electric fences to keep our livestock in so we would like to be notified to ensure all animals are kept safe. We provide firewood for your stay. We are happy to host more guests with access to power for caravans/camping facilities on request. We will charge a small fee. Looking forward to sharing this special spot with you!
