Welcome to The Piggery – a cosy countryside retreat for two, set on two peaceful acres in rural France. Inside: a comfy bed, log burner, kitchen, and a private bathroom with hot shower. Outside: soak in the open-air bathtub, toast marshmallows by the firepit, or add breakfast delivered to your door. Secluded, quiet, and perfect for slowing down, switching off, and enjoying nature at your own pace. The space SLEEP The Piggery is a cosy, one-of-a-kind hut tucked away in the French countryside — perfect for couples or solo travellers craving calm, comfort, and a slower pace. Inside, it’s quiet, warm, and thoughtfully designed. You’ll sleep under soft French linen on a double bed, with views of open fields from under the covers. At the flick of a switch, the electric blinds rise to let the morning in — no need to even lift your head. EAT The kitchen is compact but fully equipped for simple meals, with an electric hob, fridge, kettle, and all the essentials. There’s no oven, but it’s ideal for easy breakfasts and light bites. Pick up fresh croissants from the village boulangerie, or pre-order a breakfast hamper with pastries, juice, and eggs from our hens. On sunny days, take your breakfast outside and picnic in the field. In the evening, light the firepit, pour a glass of something cold, and sink into the outdoor bathtub under the stars. DO The Piggery is made for slowing down. Curl up with a board game by the fire, toast marshmallows outside, or stretch out in the tub and watch the sun set behind the trees. If you're in the mood to explore, over 30km of walking and cycling trails start right from the door. Local villages, markets, and historic towns are close by — and you’re just an hour from Mont-Saint-Michel and 90 minutes from the coast. In summer, paddleboards are available to hire for warm-weather adventures on the water. Guest access The Piggery is located on our farmland and situated on the same field as our converted bus, Wanda. However, at over one acre, there's plenty of space to keep you secluded from other guests. In the rainy months, we recommend bringing some suitable shoes so you don’t get wet feet in the grass. Other things to note A breakfast hamper and paddle boards can be ordered after booking at an additional cost. We will message you before your stay with full details. Travelling with friends? The Piggery and Wanda the Wander Bus can be booked together to accommodate up to 4 guests.
