Cozy refuge, beautiful views of snow-covered mountains

Welcome to Eus, one of the most beautiful villages in France, a sunny balcony on the majestic Canigou. Large house completely renovated in 2023 located in a peaceful environment with two gardens and a large terrace without any overlooking. Two large bedrooms each have a bathroom, as well as a sofa bed in the living room and a single bed in the office, accommodating up to 7 people. The kitchen is fully equipped and overlooks the garden. The space Enter the kitchen from the garden through the old wooden door and you will be greeted by a modern and well-designed kitchen, which illustrates the house which is a fusion of old and new, having recently been completely renovated while paying homage to years gone by. The dining table is in the same space and there is a wood-burning stove in a corner of the room for cozy winter evenings. On your right, you will find the peaceful living room overlooking the garden, a rock feature in a corner and the old terracotta tiles remind you of the history of the house, a charming environment to sit and relax, maybe read a book or watch a movie. Across the dining room are a few steps leading to the first floor. The office and the first bedroom both overlook the rooftop terrace with its fantastic views over the Têt Valley, opposite Mount Canigou. The office has a single bed and the first bedroom has direct access to the second-floor bathroom, which also allows access from the hallway at the top of the stairs. Again, original elements of the house such as the wooden staircase are combined with more modern features such as laminate flooring in the office and double glazing. Climb the beautiful wooden stairs to the second floor and you will find the second bedroom with its own private bathroom. The views from the bedroom are simply spectacular and to enjoy them, we installed a large window and set up a small sitting area so you can relax and have a quiet breakfast or retreat with your favorite book for half an hour. The gardens are full of interesting plants (mainly cacti) and there is a space to sit outside, enjoy the view while enjoying a meal with your favorite people! Guest access You will have access to the entire house. However, there is a barn accessible from the garden that is not yet renovated and therefore you should not enter it. Other things to note Eus is a beautiful medieval village perched on a hillside. Like most houses in the village, it is only accessible on foot, from one of the two small parking lots nearby. The one below the house usually has more space available and you have to climb about 30 steps (some are irregular or in poor condition). The one above the house requires going down about twenty paved steps. However, the road leading to it is very narrow and not suitable for inexperienced drivers: I drive a Honda CRV and, at the narrowest point, there are only a few centimeters on each side of the mirrors.
