The Experience: If you are looking for a budget friendly beach vacation this comfy apartment is for you. Have an authentic Ecuadorian holiday far away from crowds, tourists and not a condominium style experience. Welcoming coastal decor and vibe. ** There is a compromise for our low nightly rate, and we want to make sure you know this before booking. Although the property is located beachfront, your cute little apartment is not beachfront or looking at the beach. It is located at the rear of the property and accessed down a pathway. There are no views from any of the windows and is located on the more shaded side of the property. But good news!!!....you still get to enjoy the benefits of a beachfront holiday while being kind to your budget. As you lie in bed you will hear the crashing waves, when you feel like some beachtime your feet will be in the sand in less than 30 seconds and you are welcome to chillout in a hammock on our downstairs communal terrace in front of the ocean to enjoy those sea breezes. Amenities: Has all the amenities you are looking for to rest, relax and live like a local...The bathroom, cozy little kitchen and living area are just for you. There is a hot shower! WIFI in all rooms - bedroom/bathroom/kitchen-lounge. Digital Nomads There is fibre wifi which has proven sufficent for online teaching, online life coaching, zoom meetings, running a virtual office etc for our many digital nomad guests. The apartment has a table that you can use as a desk. One of our neighbours is a small private school of approx 20 students, during the school day children are learning and playing close by (which may be heard in the background of zoom calls if you aren't using earphones). The school is closed from mid January to end of March. There is good Wifi signal on the communal terrace. The Layout: Set up to live in and has everything you need to be comfortable. With two pleasant and separate living spaces; a cozy bedroom with ensuite bathroom which is separated from the mini-kitchen /living by a hall where the wardrobe, dresser, and storage are located. The mini-kitchen/living is small but with sufficient equipment to cook simple meals , has a table for working/dining and a sofa for relaxing. There are plenty of power points for electronics. Cooling: Ecuador is tropical and can get hot, particularly January to May. For guest comfort the suite has two ceiling fans and a powerful floor fan to create a refreshing internal breeze, but fans won't convert warm air to cold air like AC. We don't have air conditioning, preferring to be fan cooled to keep our eco foot print small. Additional protection from the direct sun's rays is provided by a sun roof placed over the bedroom window which deflects the hot sun from streaming in but can reduce the natural light somewhat. Security: Enjoy the freedom of our Self Check-in system with a front door that is key-less with a keypad (you will be given the keycode and WIFI password on day of check in) All windows have security fittings and mosquito netting. Usefully sized in-room safe, big enough to secure laptops, cameras etc. There are security cameras on the exterior of the property. Special touches: We know how helpful it is to arrive to a few home comforts waiting for you. * There is a welcome pack of bottled water, percolator coffee, salt, sugar, oil and milk to get you started * For those lazy beach days, we provide beach towels, chairs and umbrella * Hammocks to chill out in while you read or chat, or maybe just do nothing at all! ** Please note that we work most days and also like to travel,so we are not always available onsite and can only be reliably contacted through the Airbnb chat system. However when we are away from home, guests can be assisted by a local support team from 9am - 5pm if something needs repairing or replacing. ***Please note that you are renting an apartment in our home. There is no staff to organise your activities or do your cleaning and washing. Guest access Guests can enjoy the downstairs communal terrace to hang out in a hammock, check out the local fisherman, or stretch out on the provided yoga mats. *Please note that the upstairs terrace is a private space solely for use of owner. Surfing lessons can easily be arranged at a reasonable cost with bi lingual and fun instructors who live close by. We can also connect you with the world class Montañita Spanish School. Other things to note WE ARE NOT A SERVICED RENTAL WITH ONSITE STAFF . GUESTS RENT THE APARTMENT TO ENJOY THEIR OWN SPACE AND PRIVACY . HOWEVER WE DO HELP OUT EVERY 2 WEEKS BY PROVIDING A TOTAL CLEAN WITH NEW SHEETS AND TOWELS. Fabiola or Jazmin are the cleaners. They only speak Spanish, but are very receptive when you communicate with them. Pancho and Ronny are the maintenance and repair guys, they work elsewhere but provide service when required. Cristel is your local liaison, she speaks good English and works locally (so she aren't always online during the work day) Manglaralto is a small , quiet village with very little traffic. Next door there is a small private school with around 15 students which is open weekdays 9 - 3pm
