We are delighted to welcome Airbnb guests to the Wildenstein apartment at Kalsdorf Castle. This sun-drenched, spacious holiday home features a fireplace, a free-standing bathtub, antique parquet flooring and private parking. Owned by an art collector, Kalsdorf Castle is an architecturally unique property and its grounds are dotted with sculptures and installations. It is conveniently located en-route between Graz and Vienna, amidst Styria's volcanic springs & spas. The space With its mix of historic and contemporary features, 500-year old Kalsdorf Castle is a great place for lovers of art, architecture, design and history. You'll be staying in what used to be the knights' hall – an open space with vaulted ceilings that encompasses a spacious front room with kitchenette, a large living room with a dining table for eight and a wood-fired oven, a bedroom with generous views over the surrounding countryside and a large bathroom with a free-standing bathtub. Perfect for couples as the double bedroom opens into the lounge area. Up to two additional mattresses can be placed in the lounge, as needed. Guest access You'll have access to the apartment as well as the park behind the castle, which is bordered by a forest and features sculptures and swings. Please stay within these areas, as other parts of the property are private and may not be safe to explore independently (especially for children and pets). Other things to note Please note, this property is historic and parts of it are not safe for children and pets to explore unsupervised. We are sorry we are unable to provide wheel chair access due to the historic nature of this property. For EV drivers, there is a free charging cable on the premises (22kW AC). Delicious breakfast and picnic baskets from the village shop can be pre-ordered at an additional cost. Local regulations require a form to be filled out. The overnight tax of 2.5 euros per night is included in the price. Please note that the kitchen is well-equipped (blender, Nespresso machine, milk frother, fridge-freezer, etc) but does not feature an oven.
