There's a shaded fire pit for fun or just tranquility. There is also a nice charcoal grill for outdoor cooking (charcoal and lighter not provided). This is the ultimate getaway location. The space This is a 3 bedroom cottage on the river's edge on Fairhope Bluff on the Leaf River. It has a spacious wooded lot with plenty of river frontage. You can take the stairs down to a private sandbar where you can sunbathe, swim or just enjoy the sounds of nature. The property has an in-ground stone fire pit for toasting marshmallows or hot dogs or just entertaining friends. The river is great for fishing with access from the property. You can bring your own fishing gear or harvest your own cane pole from one of our two cane breaks at the front and rear of the property. You can also launch a boat from a public boat ramp approximately 1 mile downstream from the cottage. Canoeing and kayaking excursions can also be booked for guided or unguided trips. Just contact your host for details. If you have your own kayaks, the public sandbar in New Augusta (31°13'57.0"N 88°59'55.5"W), MS is a perfect launch point for a 3-4 hour float/paddle to the cottage sandbar. The property is largely wooded for privacy and rejuvination. Hammocks are supplied for use on the property and can be set up between the many trees. The cottage is elevated on pilings with stairs on the front and back. The ground level is mostly open space for parking, grilling or parties. The outdoor bluetooth stereo system pipes music to the screened porch and the lower level. The cottage has a large screened porch that extends along the entire rear of the cottage with plenty of seating and a hammock chair. The cottage has 3 bedrooms with a king size bed, a California king bed, twin bunk beads and a sofa sleeper. Several air mattresses are kept the living room closet for additional indoor or outdoor sleeping. There are two full bathrooms and a full kitchen with refrigerato/freezer with ice maker, gas stove and automatic dishwasher. There are also conveniences such as a toaster, blender, microwave and two coffee makers (conventional and Keurig - coffee not supplied). The cottage has wi-fi and a is a large Smart TV with a Roku. There is also an attached BlueRay/DVD player with lots of movies on-site. Guest access All of the property is accessible and can be used by guests, except for the two locked storage units on the ground floor.
