Waterfront island retreat

Relax at this modest, tranquil getaway on St George Island. Experience protected areas of the Potomac River and St Mary's River shore. Watch turtles, fish, crab, otter, and birds from the 100-foot pier and decks. Enjoy the picnic table on the shoreline with colorful sunsets. High tides carry debris onshore and across yards a few times yearly. Stay aware of the unique environment with sea nettle jellyfish in July and August, and mosquitos from the marsh in warm months. The space Kitchen, living room, and dining room are open concept, with waterfront views. The king bedroom and full bathroom are a suite. The other rooms share a full guest bathroom and laundry. As a modest rural residence, furnishings and finishes are basic, reflected by affordable prices. The home is thoroughly enjoyed by active families, so there are scuffs and scratches from normal wear with thorough cleaning. Guest access Everything is one level (bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living, dining, laundry, decks), accessible by ramp without steps. The empty space upstairs is unprepared for guests and stays locked. The island has random high tides, even on calm, sunny days. Water over the road can slow driving, and leave debris in yards. The house, shed, and driveway are elevated to protect from high water. Other things to note Fish and crab from our pier or your kayak. If licenses are a concern, search “Maryland Fishing License”. There is a fire pit, and you can bring grills and fire pits, as long as you protect wood decks, docks, and the house. Before lighting a fire, confirm the hose is ready, and an alert, competent, sober adult must constantly monitor a fire. Our well water is healthy, and there is a filtered water and ice dispenser on the refrigerator. We usually have coffee, filters, drip coffee pot, generic K-cup brewer, generic K-cups, and tea. Remember to bring your favorite flavors! We usually have hand soap, dish soap, laundry soap, and generic shampoo/conditioner/body wash. In some cases, tenant full names and employment details are required.
