Description

Salam aleikum, welcome to "Maison Maroc - Riads, Boutique Hotels, Culture". Be our guests, we look forward to seeing you soon! This accommodation/riad is a traditional townhouse (entire accommodation just for you) with 7 bedrooms and space for up to 20 people, with a large roof terrace and ideal for group and family trips. As hosts, we are here for you, bringing you closer to the culture and the country and providing a feeling of "being at home". The space The Riad is your ideal place to stay for a short or long trip to Marrakech. In cooperation with local artisans and artists, an oasis is available to you right in the center. On the large roof terrace you can enjoy the Moroccan sun during the day and end the day comfortably in the evening. It is the ideal place for relaxation and meditation as well as very suitable for (yoga) retreats and family celebrations. The city's mandatory guest tax is €2.70 per person per night and must be paid to us on site (then goes to the authorities). Recommendations on our part for as relaxing a time as possible in Morocco: Start your journey with a transfer organized by us at a fair price: Pick up directly at the airport/bus station/train station and with a luggage carrier through the car-free medina to the Riad. We are happy to pamper you on arrival and during your stay with culinary delights in the Riad, at fair prices using quality products, mostly from the region and organic: - Breakfast: fresh orange juice, Moroccan crêpes, omelettes, yogurt, bread, butter, jams and spreads, tea and coffee - Lunch and dinner*: a Moroccan meal includes various Moroccan salads as a starter, a tagine as a main course and a Moroccan dessert. The tagine is prepared with beef, chicken, lamb or vegetables - Note: Dinner on arrival day and breakfast on the first morning must be decided 2-3 days before stay, *Choice of one dish for all (vegetarian, vegan and special variants such as gluten-free possible) Guest access The entire property is always booked exclusively, so no other guests and the entire property is only for you/your group: - 5 bedrooms each with a double bed and private bathroom - 2 suites each with 2 double beds and private bathroom as well as the possibility of 2 additional single beds - There is an air conditioner for cooling or heating in each bedroom - Cozy living and dining areas in the courtyard and on the terrace with guest toilet - Kitchen for preparing meals - Private, very large roof terrace (approx. 200 m²) with seating to relax - Possibility for home office (Internet/WiFi throughout the house and workplace) - TV and washing machine for clothes - Culinary options such as breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon tea available - Combination of two larger riads can accommodate up to 40 people (connection via roof terrace) Other things to note The house is a classic Moroccan riad on about 400 m². A riad is a townhouse with a green courtyard (patio). It dates back to the 17th century and was completely renovated in 2011 with traditional Moroccan building techniques. Examples of Moroccan craftsmanship such as tadelakt, zellige and painted wooden ceilings are available in every room. The interior decoration (lamps, furniture, mirrors, duvets, curtains, etc.) were made by Moroccan craftsmen who live near the riad. A large courtyard (patio) with two fountains and four orange trees is on the ground floor. On the first floor there is a balcony overlooking the courtyard. On the top floor there is a roof terrace of about 200 m². It is home to many Moroccan plants. It has bougainvillea, hibiscus, oleander, pepper tree, jasmine, cacti, palm trees and various citrus trees. On the roof terrace you can watch dozens of storks nesting on the walls of the majestic ruins of the “Palais Badii.” Storks are the harbingers of luck and prosperity and they gave our Riad its name.
