The space Welcome to a unique stay at our family-owned marina, tucked along a calm, scenic river in Old Lyme. This cozy houseboat offers a peaceful place to slow down, unplug, and enjoy life on the water — while still having the comfort of land close by. ⚓ The Space • Floating houseboat docked inside a quiet marina • Comfortable sleeping space, seating, and heat • Private deck for relaxing and enjoying river views • Access to a shared fire pit area on land with Adirondack chairs • Kayaks available (seasonal, if applicable) 🚿 Bathrooms & Water • The bathroom inside the houseboat is for peeing only • The main bathroom and full shower are located on land and are shared • Water inside the boat is used for cleaning only; drinking water is provided separately 🔥 Comfort & Heat • Heaters are provided and safe to use • Extra blankets available for cooler nights • The space stays cozy even in colder months 🌊 Setting & Atmosphere • Calm river with frequent wildlife sightings • Quiet, residential marina — perfect for relaxing, reading, or reconnecting • Not a party environment; ideal for couples, solo travelers, and those seeking peace 🚗 Parking & Access • Free on-site parking in designated guest spots • Easy walk from parking area to the dock and boat 🏠 Host On Site We live on the property and are nearby if you need anything, but we fully respect your privacy. Guest access Guest will have full access to both the marina and houseboat while staying. We will have a picnic area designated for guest with a grill and firepit to use. We also have a full bathroom with shower toilet and vanity on site that’s used just for our air bnb guest. This is a perfect trial run if you've dreamed of living in a tiny home. River access and a list of activities will be provided for guest upon arrival. Easy close access to Rocky Neck state park and the beach just a minute away.
