An architecturally designed home built using concrete stormwater culverts to create a unique concrete home - quirky yet comfortable. ~ WHERE is Stormwater House? Stormwater House is located approx. 2.5 hrs from Sydney, just past the Blue Mountains. The property is an 8 minute drive from the small town Tarana which has the famous Tarana Hotel, 30 minutes from Bathurst, 20 minutes from Oberon and 30 minutes from Lithgow. *Please note these are the closest options for buying basics groceries. ~ WHY Stormwater House? Stormwater House is a perfect destination year-round. In Summer enjoy the magnesium pool and Fish River, while in Winter soak in the hot tub under the stars or enjoy a glass of wine around the custom firepit. What are the minimum stay rules? - Peak Season: Between 2 and 7 nights - Easter: 4 nights - Long Weekends: 3 nights - All other times: 2 nights Are there any special Peak Season rules? Please note that during Peak Season, our property may have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays. Guest access There are four cattle gates to open and close when driving to and from the Stormwater House. These run through neighbouring properties, are clearly signed at each gate and MUST be closed every time. Please note that the road to the property is not a sealed road, so please drive using caution. Other things to note No events Pets are allowed by approval only (Max 2). Additional cleaning fee of approx. $100 may be charged if additional cleaning is required. Any damage caused by pets will also be charge. IMPORTANT: Please consider the risk of livestock surrounding the property and wildlife. Please ensure your pet doesn't chase livestock or wildlife. The livestock (goats) are also guarded by two trained stock dogs that defend their herd (they don't generally leave their herd). They may see pets that approach as a threat. Cooling Please note, the property does not have air conditioning due to being off grid and management of solar supply. Ceilings fans are established in bedrooms and main living areas.
