Spectacular views and a private dock await you at this unique and tranquil lakefront cottage on Norris Lake. Watch birds, BBQ, relax on 2 levels of decks, or head down to the covered, private boat dock with kayaks and floating mat available for your use. Your crew will settle in quickly with the vaulted ceilings, updated furnishings, memory foam mattresses, fully-stocked kitchen with a coffee cart, 2 large TVs, foosball table, 1980's video arcade and superfast cable internet (800 Mbps). The space THE HOUSE Set at the top of a steep hill, this updated lakefront cottage on beautiful Norris Lake has amazing views of the lake and mountains beyond. All new furniture, TVs and beds with memory foam mattresses. All linens and towels are provided. Fully stocked kitchen with coffee cart and tea kettle. Two story deck with commercial grill and outdoor covered dining area. A large outdoor fireplace in the side yard, and firepit overlooking the lake. 2 large screen tv's, foosball table, a retro-video game (with Pacman, Donkey Kong, Galaga, etc.), a guitar and keyboard, and a collection of board games. Superfast internet available for all your guests (800 Mbps). The coffee cart has regular coffee, or you can bring your own K-Cup coffee pods. THE DOCK Tie up your own or a rental boat in the brand new private covered dock. Three single kayaks, one double kayak, a large foam floating island, and a collection of inflatable water toys available for your guest for free! THE AREA Located right next to Hickory Star Marina (a full-service Marina) and a short boat ride to several others. Hickory Star Marina has boat and cabin rentals, a store with drinks / snacks, and a restaurant on the water (summer only), with Karaoke (Fridays) live music (Saturdays). A ten minute drive to several restaurants and services in Maynardville (a quiet, small southern town in a valley). For even more adventures, Knoxville is less than 45 minutes away, with a vibrant downtown, UT sporting events, concerts, and world class outdoor adventures. Going the other direction, it's a short hop up I-75 to some of the best off-roading in the country so bring your four-wheelers, dirt bikes, or side-by-sides and get muddy for a day! Guest access The entire house, dock, decks, yard are for guest use. Lot's of different spaces available for your group to spread out! On the dock, there are 4 kayaks, one SUP, a foam floating island, and several inflatables and lake toys available for you use for free. There is a water filter in the kitchen, so no need to buy bottled water for the house. Other things to note The stairs to the loft are a bit steeper than normal steps. The yard has a 6 foot steep slope, so you wouldn't want little ones in the yard unattended. To get from the house to the boat dock, you can walk down the steep path / steps directly on the property, or walk down the more gradually graded street, or drive and park in the gravel parking area directly across from the dock. Golf carts are also welcome if you want to bring your own or rent one.
