This approximately 1300 square foot (130m2) apartment is located one half block from Parkway in a safe, friendly neighborhood, very apt for children and dogs. If you like plants, you will enjoy a 1 meter by 2 meter vertical garden full of mostly succulents, inside the apartment. This apartment receives direct sun in the mornings and afternoons, with views in all directions, of Parkway, the mountains and the Arzobispo River. You can use our bicycles to get around on Bogota via the bike path right in front or take a spin on Ciclovia days all around the city. This apartment is close to Carulla, Crepes and Waffles, OMA, Quipile cafe, Casa e theater, the Templo de Te, EcoSavia and Clorofila natural foods stores, banks, bakeries and several important universities, the National University and the Javeriana. Extra services such as babysitting or cooking may be arranged at an extra cost and upon the agreement of both parties. Kids' bikes can be available and sliding windows can be child proofed. A small/medium-sized bathtub allows for bathing kids. Modern amenities are a rare find in Parkway, washer, dryer, dishwasher and piped hot water to all sinks and showers. The kitchen is large and modern with a 5-burner gas stove and wok burner, convection oven, and plenty of counter space, pots and pans, utensils, blender, waffle iron, toaster, drip coffee maker, baking pans, dishes, flatware. Note that this apartment is a walk up to the 5th floor and there is no doorman. The zebra print chairs in the photos are no longer there! Neighbors can orient you and assist after hours in English, the housekeeper only speaks Spanish. Entire apartment, bicycles can be made available. We are mostly out of the country and you will be attended to by our dear neighbors and friends. I'm not from Colombia or a big city so Bogota was intimidating for me. The Soledad is a friendly neighborhood where I know my neighbors, greet them on the street, can go for a run on Parkway with the other throngs of joggers, or go to my favorite Pilates studio Fit Pilates (now on Zoom!), get my shopping done, go to the bank, meet a friend at my favorite local cafe, Quipile, and in the evening walk a half a block and go to great theater! I can ride my bike to the Candelaria or walk 10 minutes and be at the National University in class. Two lines of the Transmilenio are within 5-10 minutes walking, the blue SITP buses stop a half a block away. Taxis are readily available through the Cabify App or Uber. You can walk or ride a bike to restaurants, banks, cafes, universities and theaters. Bedroom closets are clean and ready for your things. Bathrooms are very clean and equipped with basic needs like soap and toilet paper, in addition to a hairdryer. If you do not know how to use an appliance please call us and ask. We will attend to you right away.
