The space For birdwatching, walks around the Usk Reservoir (3 miles) are great, while those looking for more fast-paced adventures can pick up one of the many mountain bike trails nearby or in Crychan Forest (14.5 miles). For food, Sennybridge (5 miles) has lots of choice. With space for either four or six people and two dogs, this country cottage (a former Sunday School) is the ideal size for families and groups of close friends. Make yourself at home within its soothing walls and quickly fall in love with its charm. Light-filled and airy, you will find the living areas upstairs and the bedrooms downstairs (originally stables for the horses of visiting clergymen!). Find yourself a comfortable pew in the living room, lighting the wood burner in winter for extra ambience. With a sumptuous sofa, TV and DVD player, it’ll be easy to while away the time here. When hunger starts to get the better of you, switch the sofa for an apron and get busy in the contemporary, open-plan kitchen/diner. Accessed via a few steps down, this space has everything you could need for meals at home. At the end of the day, enjoy a hot shower in the upstairs shower room or bath in the downstairs bathroom, before drifting off to sleep in one of the two bedrooms.
