The space A cozy and comfortable forest retreat surrounded by nature, ideal for couples, families and anyone seeking peace and privacy. Located in the quiet village of Wateren (Drenthe), this detached cottage borders directly on the Drents-Friese Wold National Park — a vast area of forest, heath and sand dunes. Hiking and cycling trails start right at the doorstep. The spacious living and dining area features a wood-burning stove, a large table, and a separate TV corner. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer views of the 2,200 m² garden filled with heather, moss, rhododendrons and tall pines. Birds and squirrels are regular visitors. Two bedrooms offer boxspring beds (160x200 and 2x80x200) with high-quality Matt-brand mattresses for restful sleep. The kitchen is well-equipped with plenty of storage and everything you need to prepare meals. The bathroom includes a shower, sink cabinet, towel radiator and large mirror. The toilet is separate. Blackout curtains and insect screens in the bedrooms ensure comfort in every season. Outside, enjoy a peaceful forest garden with terraces facing east and south, a dining table, lounge area, BBQ and parasol. The location is wonderfully quiet, with other holiday homes on large plots nearby. Whether you're here for a romantic weekend, an active holiday or simply to unwind, this forest cottage offers everything you need for a relaxing stay in nature. To keep costs accessible for everyone, bed linen is optional (€15 per person). Other things to note 🛏️ Linen (bed, bath and kitchen) is not included. This way, guests who prefer to bring their own can save on costs.
