Cabin 1 has four bedrooms and sleeps up to 7 people. There is a full kitchen, washer/dryer, dining room and living room. Two bathrooms and four bedrooms. Wood burning fireplace. Side driveway holds two cars. The space One bedroom has a king size bed and the other has bunk beds. There's a large living room and dining area and a small kitchen that has everything you need. The space and simplicity make it special. It's unusual to find a large, flat open space up here in the mountains. The Perch offers you that space as well as a private forested area. Together they give you the feeling that you're off in some remote place but actually, it's only 1.5 hours from LA, and just minutes to grocery stores and restaurants. You'll pull up right in front of your cabin. There's a back door that faces the barn and you're free to roam around the entire property. The cabin is rustic yet stylish. Here, you'll experience birds singing in the morning and the owls hooting by night. Maybe you'll hear coyotes and see a family of deer. You may spot other wildlife as well (including little bugs but no mosquitos!). Nearby, there are wonderful hiking & off-road trails ranging from easy to difficult and we're just 10 min from one of the best paragliding sites in the world. The Perch is one of the only spots where friends and family can share the barn and grounds but also have the privacy of their own cabin. Guest access It's self check-in so no interaction is necessary. But our property manager is just minutes away and will help you with anything you need. You'll get her contact info before your arrival. During winter months, a 4 WD is recommended. If there is snow, check with CalTrans for road closures and vehicle requirements for Hwy 18 and Route 189. Other things to note You're free to wander around the property and except for any possible event, the barn is for your use 24/7. There you'll find games and a fireplace and BBQs. County ordinances require no noise after 10 PM and that pets be kept on a leash. There are strict rules on fires since we're in a high risk forest fire area, so check with the property manager if you want to do an outdoor fire by the barn. Registration Details Exempt
