Magical Peaceful Tartu Home - Walk to City Centre!

Self check-in to this beautiful, tranquil and unique home in the quiet cul-de-sac. Enjoy being only a beautiful riverside walk away from Tartu city centre with everything it has to offer. Bask in the glory of being next to a park with big trees! You'll have the house all for yourself as we are away in our country cottage. This is not a sterile impersonal Airbnb unit but feels more like staying at your relatives home w lots of character! Free parking for 4cars! Welcome to a real Tartu Experience! The space After my daughter "suddenly" grew up and moved out, it is nice to share our magical home with visitors during the weekends that we are away in our country home! Welcome to a real Tartu home experience! Downstairs: Hallway. Charming light-filled bedroom with a double bed (140cm wide), sofa, clothes rack and an office corner-work space. It is the most quiet room in the house - people sleep really well here. Kitchen-lounge with an extendable dining table. Beautiful unique woodwork kitchen is adding a special feel to our home. Welcome to cook! Tea-coffee-cream -sugar- salt provided. Welcome to also use the other things from the fridge! We will make sure there is enough empty space in the fridge for your needs! Lounge room has a large fold out sofa - sleeps 2 people. Bathroom with a bath, shower, washer and dryer. More info about operating them in the House Manual. One small room downstairs is off-limits, as this is where we keep our personal belongings - thank you! Upstairs: Bedroom with a beautiful EU king bed ( 180 cm wide), armchair with leg rest. Sunset bedroom with a glorious 100yo antique sofa. As this room usually functions as a massage room - in case of full house, two single folding beds can be installed here. Small but magical WC. The Loft bedroom with double bed mattress ( 140cm) upstairs accessed by the ladder and sofa bed downstairs (sleeps 1) - daughters room who grew up and flew out of the nest. All the photos and written messages on the walls have been left there on purpose - for the magic! Look at it like a little museum, or imagine visiting a distant relatives house and staying in the room of a daughter who has just gone away to study! Two small rooms in the house will be locked as this is where we keep our things while away on holidays. Free Wifi, details in the House Manual. This space is perfect for couples, families and groups of friends. Fresh linen, towels, soap/shampoo, well equipped kitchen, dining table, tea/coffee. Well-behaved pets who do not damage the furniture - welcome. Free parking for one car in front of our garage. One more car - under the lamp post, next to our neighbours hedge. There is space for 4 more cars - few steps away at the crossing of the little streets next to our other neighbours house. Welcome to use the two red bikes. Lock code is the same as house key box code. Bike pump in the old sauna that is currently a storage room. Grill plate in the garden. Please find some grill utensils at the little staircase leading to the garden. Use the wooden benches for sitting around the grill. Tartu City Centre with everything is has to offer - 2 km poetic riverside walk away! Wolt, Fudy - apps for ordering delicious food! All-you-can eat buffet lunch on weekdays 12-14 in Dorpat Hotel Restaurant in the town centre. Remarkably delicious and good value warm food in supermarkets: Maksimarket in Kvartal shopping mall and across the road - Toidumaailm in the Kaubamaja mall. Supermarkets close to our home also have warm food on offer, however these above two are the best. Also, in Kaubamaja Toidumaailm - supreme quality handmade chocolates and cakes!! Olerex gas station - 800m from us - for your cappuccinos, hot chocolates and warm bites to eat, like wraps etc. Tartu Uni Delta Centre - 1,7 km beautiful riverside walk - affordable diner open from lunch until about 16.30. Supermarkets near home: Maxima ( Raadi Maxima) - large selection of cheapest groceries, drinks and household things in Tartu - 800 m walk straight through the Worlds Most Beautiful Cemetery full of ancient trees. ( G Maps will not show you the exact walking path through the cemetery, but it will show you the general direction and you can go on a little adventure finding your way there!) Selver (Vahi Selver ) 800m walk straight down the street - smaller shop but a bit better quality ready-made foods and cakes than Maxima. Smaller Maxima next to Vahi Selver - I would not recommend - due to only modest selection. Coop (Ujula Coop) - 1,5 km beautiful riverside walk. The epic and exciting world class museum, Estonian National Museum (ERM) - 1 km walk, as well as the Upside Down House. Emajõgi River Beach - 1 km. We are near the winter swimming location - where the hole in the ice is kept free for your convenience through the whole winter - should you fancy a fresh, empowering little dip! You will have a chance to warm up your body with a brisk walk home. Tartu Snow Park - (tartulumepark) - 1 km - for sliding down the slopes kind of fun! Tähtvere Recreation Park ( tartusport dot ee) - 3km - for cross country skiing track and ski / skate rental. Etc! Other things to note As the house is in a tranquil area with a tight-knit community, we'd appreciate if you'd be respectful to our neighbourhood! This home is not suitable for parties! Casual glass of wine is ok, of course. Please respect the quiet time from 11pm to 7am. No smoking in the house. Ok in the garden. Enjoy yourself!
