Quintessential Kiwi Bach on Waterfront Paradise

Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly place. Imagine fishing and swimming at the end of the lawn. Spear flounder in the shallows off your own beach. Watch the kids swim and kayak while you relax on the deck with a cold drink. Super safe swimming spot. Explore Kawhia township, only a short walk away or take a ten minute drive out to Kawhia's Ocean Beach and dig your own hot pool at low tide. The space The bach itself is a typically small original kiwi bach. Inside has a kitchen and dining area, two bedrooms and bathroom. Bedroom 1 has 1 x queen bed. Bedroom 2 has 1 x set of single bunks and 1 x single bed. Kitchen is original so it'll be old fashioned hand washing for your dishes. Bach has a large deck, partially covered which is perfect for relaxing and enjoying your meals outside. 2 burner bbq available for use. There is also a drum fire pit on the beach. You will have to collect driftwood and please use responsibly. Sleep out has a pull out double sofa, 1 x single bed and 1 x single bed with pull out single trundler. Please note: this is an 80’s original Bach not a luxury holiday home, but the location is amazing. Tea, coffee, sugar and hot chocolate provided as well as some pantry/ fridge staples. There is a tv in the sleepout you are welcome to use that can be connected to a Freeview box or dvd player. Some kids dvds provided. (No guarantees you’ll be able to get it going and we won’t drive out to get it going for you - but you are welcome to try if you want). Flounder spears and kayaks available for use as well as a few kids and adults life jackets. There are also spades available for use to dig a hot pool at the ocean beach. We have kids so there is a selection of buckets and spades, balls, duplo, puzzles and colouring in that you are welcome to use. There is also a selection of kids books, fishing magazines, and a few fishing/ hunting books you can read while staying. Guest access You will have access to all areas Other things to note Base rate is for up to 4 people however the Bach can sleep a total of 10. $30 per extra person per night over 4 people. Please provide your own torch, headlamp or spotlight for flounder spearing (spears available for use in the garage). Sheets, towels, duvets and pillows provided. Please note that bookings between 23rd December and 12th January will only be accepted if a minimum of 3 nights.
