Enjoy sweet dreams and your own raspberry sorbet at Raspberry Sorbet! Enter through your own personal entrance (not used by me), which masquerades as the front door. The entry, stairway, bedrooms, bathroom, and closets are all for the use of you and your party, and are NOT shared with me. Conveniently located just one block from the Carleton College Chapel, 2 blocks from the Weitz Center for Creativity, and 1.5 miles from St. Olaf College, with downtown Northfield in easy walking distance. The space This historic house (built in 1885) has a steep narrow staircase, so it is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Like all old houses, there are many ongoing or planned updates and projects! Enter a foyer with a closet for your outdoor clothes and a table with a guest book. Proceed upstairs to the two bedrooms (one with a queen-sized bed, one with a full-sized bed) and bathroom. There is supplemental heat available in each room, if needed. In the summer, a fan and an AC unit are available in each room to combat any heat that might build up. Microwave, refrigerator/freezer, coffee maker, coffee bean grinder, electric hot water kettle, water pitchers, mugs, coffee pods, tea bags, coffee beans, glasses, spoons, and small ice cream bowls are all provided for your free use. The dark blinds do a good job of shutting out light if you need the rooms dark. Guest access Front door & foyer with closet, stairs, two bedrooms, bathroom and upstairs landing. There is no sitting room separate from the bedrooms - But you are welcome to enjoy the unscreened part of the porch, which has a table and chairs. Doors to areas that are off-limits will be locked. Other things to note The whole space is yours, encompassing the foyer and closet, stairs, two upstairs bedrooms, and upstairs bathroom. There is no kitchen or separate sitting room. You can request in advance that I provide a fold-up twin bed in case two of your party don’t want to share the full-sized bed. The limit is still 4 guests. I do live in another part of the house, but I use a different entrance and different stairway.
