Not far from the house, just a short walk away, is the fantastic lake Fryken. There you can swim, go fishing and spend sunny summer days. The forest and land around the cabin are rich in berries and mushrooms. To see and do in Kil and the surrounding area For those interested in nature, there are many wonderful hiking trails. Most start from Frykstahöjden and offer wonderful nature. In Kil there are also several nature reserves such as Kilsravinerna and Rennstadsnipan. In just 30 minutes, to the south, you can get to Karlstad by car. Here you will find several shopping centers and restaurants. If you are more interested in culture, you can go 30 minutes north instead and visit Mårbacka, where Selma Lagerlöf was born and grew up. There is a fantastic café here and there is also the possibility of a guided tour with exciting stories from the past.
