Forbord Dome

“Forbord Dome” is an exclusive glamping experience for two people in the heart of nature. You can sleep under the stars, enjoy the panoramic view of Trondheimsfjorden, get a magical sunset or see the amazing northern light if you are lucky. The dome is a total of 23 square meters with a window on the ceiling and in the front and it is placed on a two-level terrace with a seating area and a fire pit. There are many great hiking opportunities in the surrounding area, how about a walk to the top of "Front Mountain"? The space Domen is located approx. 10 min from Trondheim Airport Værnes in Stjørdal and approx. 40 min from Trondheim. Domen is located by itself in the valley up towards "Forbordsfjellet", approx. 300 meters above sea level. There are two parking options and the distance from parking to the dome is from 600-1500 meters depending on parking/route. You walk on a partly steep forest road from the parking lot to get all the way to the dome. There are 150 meters in altitude to walk up from the farm and up to the dome, but only 75 meters in altitude from the nearest parking (toll road). In the dome there is a fully made king-size double bed and a seating area for two people. There is good heating in the dome (wood stove/diesel heater), but we recommend bringing warm clothes on cold days. You do not have to leave the dome to go to the toilet, it has a separate room with a toilet. You are welcome to bring a dog or other pets, and we allow pets inside the dome for an additional fee. This assumes that they do not stay in the bed or in the chairs and lie in a separate cage at night. Please contact us for more information. We have a great dog house outdoors. There are 10 liters of drinking water in the dome upon arrival, otherwise there is little access to clean drinking water. You also have access to a primus stove and two pots for simple cooking. Please note that the use of the stove must be done outdoors. There is also a grill grate for the fire pit that can be used for grilling. Free access to tea and coffee. There are shower facilities down on the farm. Guest access You have exclusive access to the place and there is no one else nearby. Other things to note We can also offer our guests something extra for the accommodation, namely cheese platter or saucer with cured meats for two people. Both the cheese platter and the cured dish costs NOK. 500,-. Type of cheese and cured meats may vary. Please contact us for booking after you book your stay. It goes down steeply in front of the dome so we ask that you not provide the ropes set up as a barrier. Phones can be charged in private USB outlet. Charging line without plug must be brought.
