"Forbord Dome" is an exclusive glamping experience for two people in the heart of nature. You can sleep under the stars, enjoy the panoramic view over the Trondheim Fjord, catch a magical sunset or see the amazing northern lights if you are lucky. The dome is 23 square meters with a window in the ceiling and in the front and it is located on a terrace on two levels with seating and fire pit. There are many great hiking opportunities nearby, how about a trip to the top of "Forbordsfjellet"? The space The domain is about 10 minutes from Trondheim Airport Værnes on Stjørdal and about 40 minutes from Trondheim. The dome is located by itself up towards "Forbordsfjellet", about 300 meters above sea level. There are two parking facilities and distance from parking to the dome is from 600-1500 meters depending on parking/route. You walk on a partly steep forest road from the parking lot to get all the way to the dome. It is 150 meters to walk up from the farm up to the Domen, but only 75 meters from the nearest parking (toll road). In the dome there is a fully made king-size double bed and a seating area for two people. Heat is good in the dome (wood-burning stove/diesel heater), but we recommend bringing warm clothes on cold days. You don't have to go out of the dome to go to the bathroom, it has its own room with toilet. It is welcome to bring a dog or other pets and we allow pets inside the dome for an additional fee. This assumes that they do not stay in the bed or in the chairs and are in a separate cage at night. For more information, please contact us. We have a great outdoor dog house. There is 10 liters of drinking water in the dome upon arrival, otherwise there is little access to clean drinking water. You also have access to a primus and two saucepans and frying pan for simple cooking. Please remember that the use of primus must happen outdoors. There is also a grill grate for the fire pit that can be used for barbecues. Free access to tea and coffee. There are shower facilities down on the farm. Guest access You have exclusive access to the place and there are no others nearby. Other things to note We can also offer our guests something extra for the overnight stay, namely cheese platter or platter with bacon for two people. Both the cheese platter and the platter with bacon costs NOK 500,-. Type of cheese and bacon may vary. Please contact us for ordering after you have booked your stay. It is steep down in front of the dome so we ask that you do not force the ropes that are set up as a barrier. Phones can be charged in a separate USB socket. Charging cable without plug must be brought.
