Large tranquil villa for your winter get-away

Your outdoor hideout for the whole group on the banks of the Kläralven river in the Norra Finskoga woods and hills. And the village Höljes has a small supermarket at walking distance. The large kitchen/dining area gives the group a relaxed place to cook and drink together, and enjoy a meal after a full day in the snow. The living area has a fireplace and fast wifi. A general store within walking distance will make sure you do not run out of anything, including petrol. The space The old inn has been fully refurbished and still maintains its hospitable and historic ambience, while offering all the modern appliances to make it a very comfortable stay. There is WIFI throughout the house. The red barns along the driveway create the perfect traditional swedish surrounding for you and your friends and family. The rustic house can also be used as a getaway for group retreats for yoga, teambuilding or adventure sports. And if your group is bigger that 10, let us know so we can make you a special arrangement with the cottage in one of the barns. Guest access The house is easily reachable by paved road. You can access the property by a private driveway, where you cansafely leave your car close to the house. The small front porch gives you access to the main hall. There is a garden behind the house with a veranda that both overlook the river. The garden has stairs to our private jetty from where you can fish, swim, canoe, SUP board or just enjoy the silence... Other things to note This place is great in all seasons. The winter makes it a magical place to hide with meter high snow outside. Cross country skiing can be done straight from the village, and the skiing resorts at Branäs, Trysil (NK) and Sälen are all easily reached for the day. Springtime brings a lot of water to the rivers and streams which will excite canoers and kayakers. Also, the first weekend of July is the World Championship Rallye cross on the other side of town. Check out the WRX calendar on their website. Summer will have beautiful hiking weather with spectacular views from the forests and the hills. The river Klarälven can be tested for a swim, or for canoeing and rafting. Wildlife will be abundant, and the fly fishing is also renowned. You can fish, SUP and swim from the jetty. (canoes can be used upon request) Make sure to get a fishing license at the general store in the village or online. Autumn brings a spectacular pallet of colours to the mountains, with the first snow and frost coming from end of October. Be aware when going to the woods, autumn is the hunting season for moose, goose and deer.
